@thinkclynk makes it so easy to support your community. Got a bunch of bottles & cans kicking around after your holiday gathering? Drop them at Clynk and donate the money to Maine Needs. 🍾There are a couple of ways to do this: Swing by Maine Needs & pick up some pre-tagged Clynk bags. Fill them up and drop off at your nearest Clynk. Log onto your Clynk account. Click on 'Donations'. You can choose to donate part or all of your current balance. You can also enroll to automatically convert your bags tags to Maine Needs tags. When you drop off using your own tags, the money from the bag will be automatically transferred into the Maine Needs account. It's a super simple, set-it-and-forget-it way to support our work all year round. In the past four years, you've raised $13,868 for Maine Needs through Clynk. it truly adds up! maineneeds.org

Such an incredible milestone... Over the past 8 years, I've spent most of my time on initiatives that reduce the cost of financial advice and services so more people can access them. This is a 💯 example of how software is making that a reality. It's also why we've built Estately specifically for financial advisors and their clients right on top of the most used estate planning software in the US. Get estate planning done for your clients here: www.getestately.com #financialplanning #wealthmanagement #fintech #personalfinance

Charity—whether through money, food, clothing, or toys—is a vital practice that we should make a regular part of our lives. In Islam, even a simple smile is considered an act of charity. It’s inspiring to see people dedicate their time and effort to something spiritually enriching while supporting those in need. Here are some key takeaways about charity and its significance in Islam. Charity helps alleviate poverty, reduce inequality, and strengthen bonds within the community, fostering a sense of mutual care and responsibility. Islam emphasizes that acts of charity, big or small, are significant in the eyes of Allah, as I said above even a smile can count as charity. In fact , Zakat(charity) is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, requiring Muslims to give a fixed percentage (usually 2.5%) of their wealth annually to help the needy, support social welfare, and promote economic balance. Charity is considered a way to purify one’s wealth and soul, reduce greed, and earn Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. The Qur’an and Hadith frequently promise immense rewards for those who give generously. Ultimately, charity benefits both the giver and the receiver, serving as a powerful means to foster a more just, fair, and compassionate society.
With Christmas fast approaching, I felt inspired to give back to the community in a meaningful way. I therefore personally took the lead in organising Christmas pamper boxes for women and children in refuge at Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP). This involved planning, coordinating donations, and working closely with Deborah from PDAP to ensure we could make a real impact for their clients in need. Our Family Department already work very closely with PDAP who are a key provider of domestic abuse services in Kirklees so it was incredibly rewarding to hear how much this will mean to the families at the refuge. Also, many thanks to the two offices that donated, we successfully gathered enough donations to fill four boxes!

“You had me write handwritten thank-you notes. Last year, my business manager showed me a 5-figure check from a congregant, a first. A month later, we received another 5-figure donation in stock." Dr. Ross shares heartwarming anecdotes about how personal stewardship and gratitude resulted in increased donations from congregants. It’s amazing how simple gestures like handwritten notes and genuine personal interactions can deeply impact our donors’ willingness to give. These small, often overlooked actions can make a world of difference. #ChurchFundraising #FinancialIndependence #FundraisingStrategies #EmpowerChurches #NFM #FinancialEmpowerment #CommunityImpact #FinancialSolutions #BlackCommunity #ChurchGrowth #NonprofitSupport #FaithBasedOrganizations #ChurchLeadership #ChurchFinancialHealth #blackchurch #BlackChurches

Worthing is so fortunate to have Worthing Community Chest to give grants local non-profit community groups, which make a difference to so many lives in the town. Did you know that you can easily help raise funds for Worthing Community Trust by donating your old clothes via their textile recycling bins? Perfect if you're having a summer clear out!👚 👕 ♻ The green/turquoise bins (there's some debate about the colour!) are dotted all over Worthing. Find your closest one on the handy map below: 📍 https://lnkd.in/ezeW8grn In the bin, you can put: - All clothing and other textiles such as bed linen, cushion covers, blankets and tea towels - Shoes and other footwear including socks, boots and trainers -Unfortunately they can’t take pillows, duvets, sleeping bags, tents or mattresses https://lnkd.in/efJ-uD3x I'll take a photo when I visit a recycling bin and I'll do a poll on the colour 😁 #TextileRecycling #Worthing #CharityGrants
Last night, Nicola and Laura were honoured to attend Worthing Community Chest's AGM and hear about the exciting future plans for support they will give to local grassroots charities. Worthing Community Chest has generously funded a portion of this year's Between the Blue Film Festival, and we're incredibly grateful for their contribution. The festival simply wouldn't be possible without their support. A big thank you to Susan and the entire Worthing Community Chest team for your tireless efforts to enrich the lives of people in the community. Your work is truly making a difference. #Worthing #CharityFunding #Community
