One day, feeling a bit down and in need of something new, I wandered into the Phuong Nam Bookstore. I picked up this book called "The Black Book" by Otegha Uwagba & I'm so glad I did. It's a must-read for any working woman who wants to succeed in her career. The book is full of great advice on how to get a good job, negotiate a raise, and build your confidence in the workplace. I'm already putting some of the tips into practice, and I can already feel a difference. If you're looking for a way to take your career to the next level, I highly recommend checking out this book. It's been a game-changer for me! #careergoals #workingwomen

You can actually use copy and copies. After researching from ten different grammar sites, copy can be used as singular and plural, but copies is still commonly used as plural. He copies him sounds better than he copy him. If copies isn't proper, then it wouldn't be a proper word when I search it up. Even the dictionary says that copies is the plural noun of copy. You can even sound some of these words out to see if they'd fit better. You can also use it in a sentence, like I did in the third sentence. Another interesting word with this would be data. A misconception is that data is singular, but it's actually plural. Datum is the singular form of data, just how copy is the singular form of copies. If we're talking about a job and not the word itself, then copies would still be correct as long as you word it properly. If you say you write copy, then you have to understand what the definition of copy means when phrased like that. In this case, I believe you're trying to say that you write a certain part of a written product. In this case, you can still use copies since you could say you write several parts, rather than using copy to say one part. Hopefully this helps everyone out.
Ladies, Gents, and every other gender in between, It is COPY. And NOT COPIES. In the case of plural, it's still a ruddy COPY. You can also call it in COPY SETS, if you prefer. I've seen organisations with 50+ employees writing CoPiEs in the JD. Why though?

Talking Tidbit: August is a month when many people meet others: fellow college students, new hires at a company, new neighbors or fellow worshipers at a church, mosque or synagogue, first dates. Business Speech Improvement teaches #conversationalskills. To learn more about someone else, ask open-ended questions, that start with what, why , how, where or when. Then listen to the answers and ask more: how did you get interested in that? What aspect of X fascinates you the most? You can't learn about the other person when you are talking, so be quiet. When the other person talks, don't negate what they say, as in, "that's not a little detail, it's the biggest part."Being a great listener shows the other person your sincere interest! Our value-filled e-book, Small Talk: Connecting with Others" gives more tips on making small talk!https://lnkd.in/euhghpAn #smalltalk #firstdate #conversationalskills #newjob #HR

We want to do right by our characters. But ‘perfection’ is unattainable. Check out this excellent article on Writing the Other.
"Perfectionism is trying to save you from the dangers of criticism, which feeds you the lie, 'You’re better off not touching this. Let someone else do it.' So, the first important thing to recognize is that there is no such thing as perfect representation. You’re never going to create a character that everyone universally agrees is perfect representation just like you’re never going to create a perfect book that everyone universally loves." Great insights today from author and book coach Samantha Cameron.
