Hey, Oren Shraiber here. A few years ago, I released a short digital guide aimed at marketers who want to better understand how to approach creating digital marketing videos (in English, for global audiences). A lot of people downloaded it, and it got great reviews. Recently, I had a chance to read through it again. Things have changed. There's much more mobile, tons of new platforms (hello TikTok), the level of data analysis, etc. But some things haven’t changed. The thinking of video as a marketing tool, the importance of being precise with briefs and goals, and the focus on sharpening creativity accordingly – these remain the pillars. And in that sense, the guide is more relevant than ever. From conversations with our clients, the wealth of tools available, AI that generates more noise (sometimes useful, sometimes not to my taste), and the vast and varied expertise of video suppliers, can sometimes shift focus away from the most important thing – what do you want to achieve and how can you (along with your writing and production partners) come up with the creative that hits the mark and stays within budget. 💡 Have you ever heard of the term "search ad avoidance effect"? I just came across this concept, and it’s pretty fascinating! Previously, when I searched for something, on Google, I used to think before clicking on search ads or organic results. I thought that was me and my marketing brain doing all the math. 😂 But now I know I am not alone. & there is more to this confusion! It turns out users tend to click more on organic results than ads during online searches. This research sheds light on how search behavior plays a big role in marketing strategy. Client wanted to start blogging (yay! 🎉) and needed help building a workflow to manage publishing across multiple channels consistently. The question I always ask in situations like this is: "What does the data say?" Decision fatigue is real and I know many business owners who wrestle with this everyday. Self-doubt, fear of making a mistake, and just being new to planning marketing this way can create some hesitation, I get it. This is why I look to the data. Building a publishing schedule rooted in data—like analyzing the top days of the week for website visitors—takes the guesswork out of the equation.
