Our team is honored to be a part of a legacy that inspires and drives change! At UCB, our commitment to making a difference is driven by science with a robust portfolio of treatments. Our talented team of world-class scientists and researchers are presenting 32 posters highlighting the impact and burden of epilepsy and rare syndromes at this year's American Epilepsy Society Meeting. We are inspired by patients, partnering for solutions that extend beyond treatments. Almost 30 years ago, we began our partnership with Canine Assistants, whose incredible work helps enhance the lives of those living with #epilepsy through highly trained seizure response dogs. This year, we continue to reimagine our leadership and how we show up for the communities we serve. First, as Lead Sponsor for DE&I activities at #AES2024, we champion representation and inclusion. Along with advocacy groups like the Epilepsy Foundation, Dravet Syndrome Foundation, and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) Foundation we also are proud to sponsor the powerful production of It’s All Your Fault Tyler Price, using the arts to raise awareness and amplify the voices of those impacted by rare conditions. Excited to see everyone over the next few days at this year’s AES Meeting! #LightUpEpilepsy

❤️ 🤗 🧬 🩺 As the holiday season approaches, I am reminded of the impact we can have through even the smallest acts of kindness. In healthcare and research, this sentiment resonates deeply. Every patient interaction, every opportunity extended, and every piece of groundbreaking research can spark hope for someone facing extraordinary challenges. At Mayo Clinic, I have the privilege of working with teams dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure and advancing the field of transplantation. But beyond the science and medicine, the heart of what we do is about building people up—patients, caregivers, and colleagues alike. It’s about being a light for someone when they may feel surrounded by darkness. For those of us fortunate enough to be in positions where we can influence lives, let this season be a reminder of our shared responsibility: to create opportunities for growth, to amplify the voices of the unheard, and to extend a hand of compassion to those in need. To those in research, academia, and clinical practice: our contributions, no matter how small they may seem, have ripple effects. You may never know the full extent of the kindness you’ve shown, but somewhere, someone remembers—and it made all the difference. This holiday season, let us commit to continuing this mission, inside and outside of our work. Together, we can inspire hope and drive change. #Healthcare #HeartFailure #Transplantation #CompassionInAction #HolidaySeason
