We thank Smt. Priyadarshini, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, for conducting a motivational session exclusively for the female employees of Nestaway and The HelloWorld She shared her inspiring journey, starting from a small village in Dharwad, and spoke about the many hurdles she overcame to achieve her goals. Her story reminded us that every challenge is an opportunity to grow and that determination can take us further than we imagine. During the session, she also highlighted the importance of staying aware of our safety. She reassured us that help is always available—whether it’s dealing with stalking or feeling unsafe, the helpline 112 is available anytime for support. We are truly grateful to Smt. Priyadarshini for her valuable time and empowering words, and to the Bengaluru City Police for their dedication to creating a safer environment for everyone. #Nestaway #HelloWorld #BengaluruCityPolice #MotivationSession #Safety #Call112

a self check isn't only for oneself but the system as well.
Dressed in plain clothes and disguised as a tourist, a senior woman cop in Agra travelled alone in an auto late at night to check women's safety in the city. Sukanya Sharma, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), also called 112 to assess the emergency response support system number in the city. 🖇️ https://lnkd.in/gS8x7-BV

Should we get back to the basics of policing? Does community policing fall into the ‘basics of policing’ model and is it really worth it? Whether I bring this up or not, these conversations are being had by police services everywhere. #policefoundations #lawenforcement #communitypolicing

Police are often the gatekeepers of the criminal justice system - but an over-reliance on policing, tough-on-crime approaches and discriminatory behaviour can accelerate the number of people being pulled into the system who then risk becoming entrenched within it. Evidence-backed positive policing approaches and alternative first-responder systems can help build safer communities and reduce incarceration. As much as I want to celebrate good policing, I feel it's also imperative to point out and discuss bad policing. This is an example of extremely serious police misconduct. There can't be a place in our profession for people who not only harbour these views, but who feel emboldened to express them. In publicizing this story, I don't actually have an axe to grind with the RCMP. I love and respect the organization that it is supposed to be and could be. And I recognize that the vast majority of Mounties are amazing cops doing amazing work. One must wonder, though, how did these clowns get through the selection process, when so many others who aren't vulgar bigots get their applications deferred for laughable reasons. These guys need to be gone, and those who are like them need to go too. We'd be better off running short, than having these people filling up the ranks. Nobody but nobody hates a bad cop more than a good one. And I'm a good one. https://lnkd.in/g_yJNM3Z #RCMP #Surrey #police #Mounties #humanresources #organizationalculture #bigots #racism #prejudice #recruitment
