There are many firsts we at ARPAN are celebrating during our Child Safety Week 2024 campaign. (14- 20 Nov) -For the first time ever in India, an NGO has stepped up to such a large scale for an awareness campaign for CSA. - Under the hashtag #ProtectedByPOCSO, we are targeting offenders for the first time through our hard hitting messages - For the first time any organisation has stepped foot on the famous Bandra HP petrol pump parking for a billboard shoot with the team (this was iconic, watch in the drone footage in the video) - For the first time an entire Metro coach would be branded only with one campaign. - For the first time over 150 schools would have done a uniform campaign. Not even the best agency has pulled this off till date. and many more records to be broken. All for the awareness of CSA and the POCSO Act. Child Safety Week has already reached over 5 million people through our integrated campaign comprising outdoor, OTT, cinema, digital, influencer marketing, and PR within 4 days, and more to go! Presenting the projects of the Hybrid Threats Cluster: #FermiEU! 🚀 #FermiEU is an initiative to help society fight disinformation. It will provide tools and services to enhance European Police Authorities and other stakeholders' capabilities to analyse large amounts of data in near-real-time. It also emphasises the upskilling of officers and active involvement of citizens, voluntary organizations, and communities. It includes info days, training sessions and clear strategies to ensure that the outcomes are adopted by stakeholders. Bangalore Police Launches New Community Policing Initiative On November 11, 2024, Bangalore Police rolled out a new community policing initiative aimed at fostering stronger relationships between law enforcement and local residents. The program, called Citizen Connect, encourages community members to participate in safety discussions, report issues, and collaborate with police officers to create safer neighborhoods. As much as I want to celebrate good policing, I feel it's also imperative to point out and discuss bad policing. This is an example of extremely serious police misconduct. There can't be a place in our profession for people who not only harbour these views, but who feel emboldened to express them. In publicizing this story, I don't actually have an axe to grind with the RCMP. I love and respect the organization that it is supposed to be and could be. And I recognize that the vast majority of Mounties are amazing cops doing amazing work. One must wonder, though, how did these clowns get through the selection process, when so many others who aren't vulgar bigots get their applications deferred for laughable reasons. These guys need to be gone, and those who are like them need to go too. We'd be better off running short, than having these people filling up the ranks. Nobody but nobody hates a bad cop more than a good one.
