🎉 Celebrating a Milestone! 🎉 We are thrilled to celebrate Peter Hanzel‘s 20th anniversary with in our company! Over the past two decades, his dedication, expertise, and commitment have been crutial in our success. Thank you, Peter, for your remarkable contributions and unwavering loyalty. We are sure we have a lot of achievements and growth still together in front of us! Curious to know why Peter stayed with us for 20 years? Here is his answer😊 I can summarize it in 3 reasons - ordered by priority - 1. the team, 2. non-monotonous work, 3. option to choose my own path. The team makes you feel at work like on a friend event. Of course there are ups and downs, but even in downs team was there to help to get out of the ... it. [😉] The work was always interesting, sometimes more challenging, sometimes more annoying and of course sometimes a little monotonous as at any other work. What also helped a lot that most of my team leads have aIways acted as one of us. I started as a developer, changed to a consultant, then become a consulting manager to end up on a position of a product manager mainly of SNP DTS and CB Shell Creator. ...a campfire/beer stories could be told [🙂] #Anniversary #Milestone #Teamwork

🌟 Celebrating Our Achievements 🌟 Let’s take a moment to celebrate our achievements, no matter how small they may seem. Getting caught in the cycle of continuous goal chasing is easy, leading to burnout and anxiety as we feel we haven’t accomplished enough. As human beings, we often desire more—yet it’s crucial to recognize and celebrate our current milestones. For instance, when someone becomes a clerk, they may quickly aim to become an assistant, officer, and so on. But how often do we pause to appreciate what we've already achieved? Celebrating our successes is vital because it fosters a positive mindset and boosts motivation. Let’s make it a habit to acknowledge our progress and honour our journeys. What milestones are you celebrating today? Share in the comments!

My #InsuranceStory: I went to college for Criminal Justice and Arabic. Super insurancey right?!?! WRONG! I worked in various #jobs in Probation and Parole, Corrections as well as a social worker after I graduated. They were all jobs to me. I went overseas and became a defense contractor. I was responsible for going off base and surveying battle damaged vehicles and bringing them back to base for retrograde or disposing of them. Essentially material damage adjusting or field auto appraising of multi-million dollar vehicles. I was getting ready to come home and end my second contract and I put an application at Erie Insurance Group. Why? Advice from my Father: "If you're going to come back to your hometown, you might as well work at the best company in your hometown while you figure out what you want to do next." Little did I know what would come next is 11 great years with the organization, countless friendships and partnerships. Insurance was meant to be a stepping stone to something else. It was a stepping stone into a great company and life. Have you ever considered #insurance? Sick of just surviving in a job? Click below to see where you could thrive with an #insurancecareer. https://lnkd.in/geVgq5pi #InsuranceStory: I went to school for Business Administration having no clue what career I wanted to pursue. One day while in the library at SUNY Oswego (which didn't happen very often! lol), I decided to look at a book that outlined different careers you could pursue with a 4-year Business Administration Degree. I came across "Insurance Underwriter" which sounded interesting. It was at that moment I decided I wanted to try and get a "leg up" by gaining some insurance experience through an internship. Not knowing the difference between an insurance carrier or agency, I decided to open the phonebook yellow pages (an actual printed book that listed all businesses by category from A-Z, lol) and solicit each insurance business asking if they'd be willing to hire a college intern for the summer. Low and behold, I received a call back from a local prominent independent agency who was willing to bring me in. I spent the summer processing personal lines policies and backing up our claims department by taking claims calls. I continued to work at the agency throughout my senior year of college and during my spring semester, I attended thirteen 8-hour Saturdays of insurance licensing classes. By the time I graduated college, I was a licensed Property Casualty Insurance Broker. I was hired by this agency as a personal-lines insurance broker after graduation, and that is how I began my insurance career! That was 30 years ago and since that time I have held various insurance roles on both the agency and carrier side of the insurance business. I have worked in personal, commercial, life, financial services and surety lines of business. Almost two years ago, I had the opportunity to join Erie Insurance Group as a Senior District Sales Manager in Central New York. I quickly learned what an amazing culture Erie exhibits and I'm SO PROUD to work for such a tremendous organization and the amazing agents that represent us!! Have you ever considered #insurance? Mars consistently wins plaudits for being one of the best places to work. I recently celebrated my 10th anniversary here and I know it deserves to top every single list. I have worked with exceptional Associates on our confectionery and snack bar units, and the past six years leading our UK marketing team has been a career and personal highlight. Over my 10 years, three things especially stand out that I'm grateful to have learned: 📈 Coaching & Development: Make this your first priority as a leader. Too many amazing talents are struggling with Imposter Syndrome, spend your energy building their energy and their self-belief. 💡 Perspective: Great ideas are everywhere. Be curious and seek out diverse perspectives globally because every problem has inspiring solutions waiting to be discovered. 🤝 Purpose: First I learned about Economics of Mutuality, then we began to pivot our iconic brands like Maltesers and Galaxy into new purpose-led campaigns. All because "profit without purpose isn't meaningful, and purpose without profit isn't possible." Thanks to my Founders, Rockstars and Good Rebels teams for teaching me so much and embracing being the only ones who do what you do. Thanks to my UKLT peers for creating high standards and high care working together everyday. Special thanks to Roy Benin and Seth Klugherz for bringing me into Mars, and to the many who have taken time to coach me over the years, including Adam Grant, Michelle Frost, Hank Izzo, Matthew Lloyd, Tracey Massey, Berta de Pablos-Barbier, Blas Maquivar, Andrew Clarke, Marc Carena and Rankin Carroll. Here’s to the next 10 years of Tomorrow Starts Today!

Beyond the years of Service We often pat ourselves on the back for sticking around a place for a long time. "Look at me, ten years here!" we boast. But let's be real: it's not just about the number of years you've clocked in. It's about what you've done with that time. Think of your career like a garden. Sure, you can brag about how long you've tended it, but the real beauty lies in the flowers you've grown, the challenges you've overcome, and the lessons you've learned along the way. Those are the things that truly matter. Every day at work is a chance to learn something new. You've probably faced some big challenges, celebrated some huge wins, and worked with all sorts of amazing people. That's the stuff that makes you who you are professionally. So, next time you're thinking about your work anniversary, don't just count the years. Take a moment to appreciate the incredible journey you've been on. And remember, the best way to celebrate is to share your knowledge and experiences with others. You never know who you might inspire. What do you think? Have you ever felt like your career was more about the journey than the destination? pls write to me your thoughts

How do you choose the right pension provider for your employees? For anyone faced with the uneneviable task of having to make this choice, you should make FTRC your go-to resource. They have the most comprehensive question set I have ever seen and an ability to instantly compare multiple products in a like-for-like comparison. At a reasonable cost. It’s impartial, quant, and the scores don’t have an agenda. And great that we’re gold again!
