🏡 The Boxing Day Bounce 🏡 Is this really a trend or just estate agent hype? Last year, there was a 273% spike in visits to property websites between Christmas Day and Boxing Day. On top of that, 10,000 new properties hit the market in a single day, the highest number since 2011. So yes, it’s definitely a trend. The New Year often gets people thinking about fresh starts, including moving home. That said, here’s a word of caution: with so many properties going live on Boxing Day, there’s a risk yours could get lost in the crowd. What really matters isn’t the timing. It’s the quality of your marketing. Are your photos top-notch? Do you have a professional presenter-led video tour of your home? Is the price realistic? And how effectively is your property being advertised? These are the factors that will ultimately make the difference. If you’re serious about moving, give me a call between Christmas and New Year, and we can chat about the best way to sell your property. 2wI absolutely love this Neil Mercer and whole-heartedly agree. From talking to agents, the 'seasons' of ebb and and flow (eg. "Don't try and sell in December or August") are less important, than having a property that leaps of the page. That means: a good refurbishment, better staging and the best photos. 🖌🎭📸
