On the 9th day of #GoGive we’re reminding Marks and Spencer Sparks members that you can select the Neighbourly Foundation as your chosen charity 🎁🌟 As a Sparks member, M&S will donate 1p to charity for every transaction in an M&S store where you scan your Sparks card or are logged in to M&S with your Sparks account. 🪙 If you want your points to support your local community, choosing the Neighbourly Foundation as your charity will mean funds are donated into the GoGive pot which will be distributed to causes in our network. Find us in the Community & Inclusion category! Check out the link in the comments to update your charity of choice 😊 #GoGive #GoGiveCommunity #ChristmasGiving #LocalGiving

Today is International Day of Charity. A day to recognise the important roles charities play in our societies and supporting people. For the last 39 years, we have been supporting people impacted by domestic and sexual abuse. We wouldn't be able to do the work we do if it weren't for our supporters. You can support us by: 🟡 Donating Money - You can set up a monthly donation or make one-off donations. 🟡Donating goods - Please see our Amazon Wish List for items we are currently looking for. 🟡 Volunteering - There are all sorts of ways that you can help us to deliver our crucial support. We update our website regularly with volunteering opportunities. 🟡Fundraising - Whether you’re athletic, artistic, a music-lover, a baker or a general social butterfly – there’s a fundraising activity out there for everyone. If you are interested in supporting us, please go to our website https://ow.ly/nKmU50TazwL or contact Holly and Libby on supportus@yellowdoor.org.uk / 02380636312. #YellowDoorSupport #LocalCharity #YouAreNotAlone #StopSexualViolence #StopSexualAbuse #StopDomesticAbuse #Support #SupportUs #InternationalDayOfCharity.

April is National Volunteer Month, and so we wanted to close the month with an important reminder for employers: those who make a point to support and work with charities are not only contributing to the wider community, but are also making a smart business move, too. It was discovered that businesses that donate over 0.5% of turnover were twice as likely to report enhancements in company reputation, and were nearly 50% more likely to see it help recruit and retain staff. This is because engaging your teams in charity work can offer an array of benefits which you can read all about below... #nationalvolunteermonth #charity #charitywork #esg

Small charities are struggling more than ever. Holding Space is no exception. Our work is crucial to the parents and carers of East Sussex, but if things continue as they are we may not be here in 2025 to meet the needs of our local community. And to meet the needs of our local community, we need our community to help us. Funding opportunities are shrinking, while the number of small charities needing support is increasing. We rely on donations, we rely on volunteers. We’re vulnerable. There are so many fantastic ways that small charities can be supported by their community. But it has to come from people. People who want to make a difference, a tangible difference. People who are willing to… 💜Volunteer their time 💜Encourage their employer to get involved 💜Set up a monthly donation 💜Start a fundraiser 💜Share and like our social media posts The reality is this. If you’ve ever felt alone, unsupported, lost, or not listened to as a parent, Holding Space has the Parent Peer Support volunteers to make sure you’re not alone. To give you the tools to get through the tough times. Every parent and carer deserves that. Help us to continue delivering this work in our local community. #smallcharities #charityfunding #fundraising

YMHC is looking to run a national conference on school absenteeism next year. In order for us to do so, we are looking for donors and sponsors. We are not government supported, so all funds count. If you are a union, association, or corporation who is looking to donate to a non-profit and make an impact, we are looking for sponsors in the amount of 1k to 5k. Nothing can make our lives or the lives of other people more beautiful than perpetual kindness. Join in on helping to create a kindness community today by becoming a monthly donor or a sponsor for YMHC: https://lnkd.in/eCe2x3NT #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalwellness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellbeing #Hamilton #canadamentalhealth #Canada #ymhc #hamont #canadawellness #canadahealth #hamiltonontario #hamiltonontariocanada #therapycanada #mentalhealthadvocate #donatenow #supportnonprofits #monthlydonor

Want to have your own #PowerOfSmall conversation to feed into our recommendations to NCVO and the wider sector on the future of infrastructure support for small charities? We need to hear from every nook and cranny of the sector 💚 With this DIY toolkit we're asking you to have your own conversations with small charities and share what you learn. You could be: - A small charity staff member or volunteer - A freelancer or consultant who works with small charities - An organisation that works with and supports small charities Basically, if you're living in small-charity-land, we would be SO grateful if you could have a chat and share your thoughts with us. There are loads of ways to feedback what you learn, including adding your thoughts to a Mural board, emailing your feedback or leaving a voicemail on our dedicated phone number! Don't miss out on your chance to shape the future of support for small charities. #PowerOfSmall #SmallCharities

With Budget 2024 announced, it's becoming evident that many people would rather forgo their tax reduction in favour of the Government handing it to other needs. Others might be differently placed. Without venturing into the pros & cons involved in choosing somethingdifferent, I'm hoping those driven towards pointing at what the government should do, opt for doing something more practical instead. The following platforms make it reasonably easy for NZers to contribute small amounts to causes they care about, ensuring their donations make a meaningful impact. Givealittle is New Zealand's free online fundraising platform for causes and charities. https://givealittle.co.nz/ The Good Registry allows you to donate to multiple charities through one platform. https://lnkd.in/gm-sRmm2 One Percent Collective encourages people to donate 1% of their income to charity. https://lnkd.in/gF_TyhpV

Are you a charity or local community project that would like support from a local business? HBC is a local courier business to Biggleswade. We are passionate about supporting local charities and reducing our carbon footprint. We have been initiated with local businesses and charities approaching us and want to do as much as we can to help. Therefore, every month we will be selecting a charity at random to support for four weeks. Do you need a volunteer? Do you need help with a donation drive? Do you need a food donation pledge? Do you need us to promote an event? Do you need something transported? We will try our best within that month to help your cause. Sadly we won’t be able to raise hundreds of pounds for everyone but there may be other ways we can help. What to do: If interested, please send an email to charity@hbclogistics.co.uk with what support / needs your charity or project has. #charity #fundraising

One of the most powerful tools in my auctioneer toolkit is the ability to make people *feel* the cause they’re supporting. 💡 When running a pledge at a charity fundraiser, it's not just about asking for donations—it's about creating a vivid experience that connects deeply with the audience. At a recent event for a homeless charity, I used a simple yet effective technique: I asked the guests to close their eyes and imagine what it would be like to be homeless. No warm bed, no safe space, no certainty of the next meal. 🏠❌ This moment of reflection changed the entire mood in the room. You could sense the empathy grow, and it led to pledges pouring in. 🙌 The key is this: when people can emotionally connect with the cause, they feel compelled to help in any way they can. 🌟 This approach is one I highly recommend for any charity auctioneer or event planner looking to maximise impact. The result? We smashed the fundraising target and made a real difference for those in need. 💪 #FundraisingTip #CharityEvent #AuctioneerLife #auctioneer #NonProfitFundraising #Pledges #Empathy

There are so many benefits in letting go, especially when you're giving to charity. Not only does it help someone who's in need, it can also help you around tax time. So, on Give Something Away Day, we encourage you to clean out your closet, check the toy bin or rummage through your pantry for items you no longer need. Let's help someone in need by donating items that can help others on Give Something Away Day! #donatetoday #charitablegiving #changemaker #localbank #communitybank #communitybanking
