Tracy speaks to Clint Fischer about “Passing Down The Farm" in this week's episode. You can catch this week’s episode with Clint here <<<<https://lnkd.in/gF7NeHeQ>>>> About Clint Fischer Hello! I’m Clint Fischer a South Dakota attorney with a focus on family farm operations. My passion is helping ag people with farm business solutions, succession planning, and estate planning. Through my experiences, I’ve discovered that my two greatest skills are: 1) bringing people together to feel connected, included, and seen; and 2) explaining complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand. I founded Braintrust Ag as a central hub for valuable information—a place where folks can access the tools I use daily. But the farmers, ranchers, and ag business owners I aimed to help wanted more. They sought connections and learning opportunities with their peers. This led to the evolution of Braintrust Ag into an online peer group, offering all the benefits of the local elevator/gas station coffee crowd without the neighborly competition. Today, Braintrust Ag connects operators from around the globe. A farmer in Minnesota can now learn what works (and what doesn’t) from a farmer in Canada or Tennessee. We’re tackling the isolation often found in agriculture while sharing ideas to build better farm businesses. I believe that to preserve family farm legacies, two things are essential: 1) Operations must be well-managed, financially viable, and attractive businesses. 2) Operations must have a written transition plan. Greatness is found in the agency of others. We rise or fall based on the strength of our peer group. That’s why at Braintrust Ag, you’ll find a welcoming community of business-minded ag folks ready to support each other. Hey Everyone! I am really curious what you all think of this model of community driven agriculture. We hope this model can also build resilient ecosystems while fostering more community well being. Give it a read and share your thoughts in the comments!
As a corporate executive, turned nonprofit CEO, turned consultant and regenerative farmer, I have been called time and time again to step into the light more. I have been asked to share the insights, lessons learned, and wisdom that flow through me, yet I was a bit hesitant for many reasons. Now with more space and a conviction to answer that call, I started my #blog this summer in rhythm with a total life redesign including moving to a regenerative farm near Lyons. The link to my most recent blog is below featuring tangible climate and community solutions that can heal people and planet with Yellow Barn Farm and Drylands Agroecology Research. There are other #blogs there from the summer and the move to #farmlife! I invite you to check them out and let me know what you think! At B the Light Consulting we are collaborating on some very big projects and from my experience the work is only made better by engaging with folks from all walks of life to co-create solutions for a better future!

Two Regen Agri legends, Andrew Ardington and Peter Byck on the stage in Cape Town. Just before watching the first episode of a 4-part docuseries - Roots So Deep (you can see the devil down there). The documentary series explores the world of adaptive cattle farmers and their conventional farming neighbours. Alongside this journey, a team of pioneering scientists conduct groundbreaking research, investigating the costs and benefits of grazing practices in harmony with nature versus those in conflict with it. The Q&A session was particularly interesting and especially when it came to conventional farmers being super curious about what their neighbour regen farmers were doing - seeing the positive impact and results from these practices, but still not feeling free to walk over to them, to ask the questions on their mind. But isn't it so for most businesses. What is holding us back from engaging with others in our network and industry. We can all learn from each other - on both sides of the fence. Collaboration is key in changing the way we have always been doing things. #regenagri #collaboration #courageousleadership

## From Farm to Table: The Power of Storytelling in Agriculture 🌱🌍 We often talk about the "business" of agriculture, but what about the stories that lie at its heart? Every farm, every farmer, holds a unique narrative - a testament to resilience, innovation, and the vital connection between land and people. Sharing these stories can be transformative. It can inspire young minds, ignite passion for the industry, and build bridges between producers and consumers. How can we amplify the voices of our farmers and make their stories resonate? #abutispinach #Agvocate #AgroDiplomacy
