Happy Thanksgiving... ...Now what? Do you get this feeling too? Every time just after Thanksgiving, I get this lump in my throat. It's that time of year again. - We're only a month away from the end of the year! Yikes... How time flies by! This is the time when I sit back and reflect. "How did my business do this year?" "How can I improve?" "What more can I do to impact more people and give them more value?" "How can I elevate the experience?" Where do all these questions come from? They come from a common drive. A drive for excellence. You see, I'm inspired by top brands and top businesses that are well-known. Apple, Netflix, Tesla, SpaceX, and Halo Top Creamery, just to name a few. I love reading their stories of how they built their businesses and what it took for them to reach world domination. The common denominator all these brands have is one thing. They each seek to be the best in their field. They each built good businesses, scaled them to greatness, and eventually reached excellence. The nice thing about all this - is that just as they went up against their "big ones" in their day - we can build and scale our businesses too! I don't know if you want to build to be as big as they - but you surely can build a great and eventually excellent business of your own (however you define or envision that to look like). That is why, this coming year I am refocusing my target audience. I am looking to connect with good businesses that are looking to become great and are on the path to excellence. Is that you? Do you know someone who fits the bill? Feel welcome to tag them on this post or connect with us - we'd love to explore endless possibilities with you. We'd also love to hear how you're taking your business from good to great. Please share in the comments below.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! 🎄 The holiday season is often a time for reflection, blessings, and sharing valuable insights. As I was thinking about decision-making, I came across an inspiring perspective from Jeff Bezos of Amazon: “The power of wandering.” He shared that his best decisions weren’t made purely by data or analysis but by heart, intuition, and guts. In a world where data-driven decision-making dominates, this is a powerful reminder. Sometimes, our inner instincts know what’s truly right, whether for business or for life. As we step into this festive season, I wish you all the courage to trust your intuition, make decisions that resonate with your heart, and live a happier, more fulfilled life. Let this season be the start of something great for all of us! #SeasonsGreetings #PersonalGrowth #LeadershipInsights

As we ease into Thanksgiving celebrations with family and friends, I hope this post will serve a purpose when assumptions run rampant over your Thanksgiving table conversation. 🦃 How often do we get caught in the trap of believing we have all the answers? We think we understand the problem, know what someone else is thinking, or have a solution all figured out—only to realize later we didn’t see the full picture. A story from my garden reminded me of this recently. For months, I watched my usually vibrant flowers struggle, convinced I had failed them. I adjusted the watering, moved them for better sun exposure, and tried everything I could think of. Still, nothing worked. One day, I caught the real culprit—a squirrel gleefully digging through my pots and undoing all my careful work. I had spent so much time assuming the problem was my lack of skill that I missed a critical piece of the puzzle. It’s a reminder of how easy it is to default to assumptions in life and leadership. We assume we know why a project is delayed, what’s driving someone’s behavior, or why a plan isn’t working. But those assumptions often reflect our perspective, not the reality. The solution? 👉Pause and challenge your assumptions. 👉Ask questions. 👉Gather facts. Observe. 👉Most importantly, stay curious. When we let go of our preconceived notions and remain open to new information, we not only find better solutions—we build stronger connections and clearer paths forward. What assumptions might be holding you back today? Take a moment to step back, reassess, and let curiosity lead the way. Sometimes, the answers we need are right in front of us—we just have to notice them. Today, I won't assume you know how much having you in my world, digital and beyond, means to me. Instead, I say thank you. I am grateful. 🙏🏼 #mindset

As we wrap up another year (and a lot of presents), I want to take a moment to wish everyone—colleagues, partners, customers, clients, and yes, even competitors—a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! To our team: Thanks for making work feel less like “work” (most of the time). To our partners and clients: You’ve made this year amazing, and we’re ready to make next year even better. To our competitors: Let’s admit it, we’ve kept each other on our toes—cheers to healthy competition and mutual growth! May 2024 bring you fewer emails, smoother phone calls, coffee that never goes cold and beer that never goes warm. Here’s to growth, success, and maybe even try figuring out how to reply-all less often (plus fewer CC myself, if possible). Cheers to a joyful holiday season and an exciting year ahead! 🥂

Growth is hard – Thanksgiving edition. It often means letting go of what’s familiar and stepping into the unknown. This can feel especially true during the holidays when traditions remind us of the comfort of “how things have always been.” Sometimes, growth asks us to rewrite those traditions. Whether it’s a change in our personal lives or at work, letting go of the old can create space for something new—and maybe even better - like enjoying the Turkey Trot instead of stressing about dinner prep. This year, I’m reflecting on how change, while difficult, has opened the door to new opportunities. Growth isn’t about erasing the past; it’s about honoring it while creating room for what’s next. Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with gratitude for where we’ve been and excitement for where we’re going. Let’s embrace the change and the growth it brings. "If you want to change the world, go home and LOVE YOUR FAMILY." Mother Teresa 💙 What if we genuinely considered "FAMILY" not just as the folks we love when we go home, but the people we spend most of our days with in the workplace? Our company. Our colleagues. Our co-workers. I've spent some of this week looking at AI-first presentations from business leaders who talk about changing the world. The presentations were thought provoking and featured trends which will no doubt change the world in some way. But what stood out to me the most was that many of these presentations didn't feature one HUMAN story, or even a person’s face on any of the slides. 🤷🏻♂️ AI is doing many wonderful things. It will change the world. (Much faster than we expect). But among all the hype and excitement of some of these world changing visions, humans seem to be getting pushed out of the picture. So here’s your polite reminder… Changing the world doesn’t have to be anything grand. It doesn’t have to be about inventing something that “scales”, inspiring thousands, solve climate change or starting a movement. Changing the world could just be impacting your team – your work family - no matter how small your team is. Just a thought. Happy Friday. 💙

🎁With Christmas wrapped up, we now turn our focus to the New Year—a season bursting with excitement and fresh opportunities in life, business, and family. It’s a perfect time to build strong habits, embrace change, and make decisions that can positively impact the decades to come. A few eye-opening New Year’s resolution stats: ⚡ Only 8–12% of people stick with their resolutions all year. ⚡ 25% drop out by the end of January. ⚡ 80% give up by mid-February. If you can stay on track until March, you’re already on pace for top 20% of resolution-makers. I bet top 20% 5 years in a row looks more like top 2%. Like 2,000 year old trees or strong powerful brands - the secret is in consistency, longevity, application, and a sprinkle of luck🍀. Yes, resolutions might feel cliché, but since forming new habits is tough enough, let’s seize every chance we get to create lasting, positive change.

TLDR: AI is achieving remarkable things and is poised to transform the world, likely much faster than we anticipate. However, amid all the excitement and hype surrounding these groundbreaking advancements, it feels like humans are gradually being pushed out of the spotlight. Let's not do that! Thank you for the reminder and the insightful perspective, Jeremy Connell-Waite.

Thanksgiving thoughts on the way to the coast… The story I learned in school about the Pilgrims and the "Indians" celebrating the first Thanksgiving, all one big happy family, hid an uglier version of reality that we weren't told about. But two (or more!) things can be true at the same time. We can condemn the actions of the past, while still acknowledging the good that existed, and that has come out of it. I see great value in dedicating a day to giving thanks for what we have. (Me, I’m thankful for the privilege to take time away this week with my family. I’m thankful that I get to work with creative clients on meaningful projects, doing work I love.) And I also see great value in reflecting on history, and what actions our predecessors took that were in direct conflict with our values, and how we might want to act differently. Both, and. This kind of open-minded approach - being able to hold multiple, even seemingly contradictory truths at once - is crucial for innovation. It helps us see beyond black-and-white thinking to find unexpected solutions and breakthroughs. It's what allows us to acknowledge problems while still staying grateful. To celebrate progress while pushing for more change. To honor tradition while Creating the Impossible™. Speaking of gratitude, what's one innovation or technological advancement you're particularly thankful for this year? A new tool that's made your work easier? An app that's improved your life? Share your tech gratitude below! 🙌 Or just share something you’re thankful for right now. Your cat, your partner, the sun on your face. What’s making you smile? Happy Thanksgiving, to everyone who’s celebrating. 🍁🍂🌾🥮 #Innovation #Gratitude #CreateTheImpossible #Leadership #Thanksgiving
