Sleighing this holiday season! 🎅 As we dive into the holiday season, I want to share a personal reflection that may resonate with some of you. Don't we often assume that holidays are solely about spending time with loved ones, giving back, and putting others first. And while that's partially true, I believe it's essential to remember that holidays are also about YOU. In our pursuit of making others happy, we often forget to prioritize our own needs, desires. But what if I told you that taking time for yourself during holidays is not selfish, but necessary! In this video, I have shared my favourite ways to disconnect and recharge during holidays: 🎄 Saying no to work calls and emails: Because boundaries are essential, even on vacation. 🎄Indulging in creative pursuits: Clicking pictures, making reels, and having fun – because joy is contagious! 🎄Soaking up the sun on a beach: Because nature has a way of calming our minds and rejuvenating our spirits. 🎄Spending quality time with loved ones: Getting to know them better, sharing laughters and creating memories. Share with me your favourite ways to disconnect during vacations! #HolidayVibes #LinkedInNews #LinkedInEditors #LinkedInCreators #VideoCamp2024

Surviving the Holidays with Grace: Key Takeaways for a Joyful Season The holidays can bring joy—but also stress. If you’ve ever found yourself juggling too many tasks while everyone else watches football, you’re not alone! Here are four ways to navigate the season with less pressure and more connection: 1️⃣ Ask for Support - Stop doing it all yourself. Be specific in what you need: - “Can you vacuum before guests arrive?” - “Would you mind making a quick grocery run?” - Involve everyone, including the kids. 2️⃣ Speak Your Truth—With Love - If you’d rather skip hosting or change things up, say so kindly: - 💬 “This year, we’re trying something different and won’t be hosting.” - Suggest a new plan: Brunch and bowling instead of sitting around the TV? 3️⃣ Connection Over Perfection - Don’t sweat the small stuff—delegation is key! Even if the mashed potatoes are lumpy, it’s fine. 🥔 - Focus on spending time with loved ones, not on perfect table settings. 4️⃣ It’s the Intention, Not the Outcome - The goal isn’t a picture-perfect meal, but creating meaningful moments. - And if family gatherings feel too stressful, it’s okay to celebrate with friends or your chosen family. 🌟 Let go of unrealistic expectations, and you just might have your best holiday yet. #HolidayTips #WorkLifeBalance #FamilyTime #MindfulLiving

🎄 The holidays are here—a time for celebration, family, and joy. But let’s be honest, it can also be a time of stress for many. End-of-year deadlines, financial pressures, holiday planning, and personal expectations can create a perfect storm of overwhelm. For employees, this stress can impact focus, morale, and even well-being. ✨ Here’s the important part: It’s okay to feel this way. As leaders and colleagues, it’s crucial to recognize that everyone handles this season differently. Some of the most meaningful support you can offer may come in the form of understanding, flexibility, and compassion. ✅ A few small gestures can make a big difference: Encourage time to recharge. Show gratitude for your team’s hard work. Foster open communication and a supportive culture. Remind others (and yourself!) that it’s okay to step back when needed. Let’s work together to make this holiday season a little brighter—not just by what we achieve, but by how we care for one another. Wishing you all peace, joy, and balance this holiday season. 🎁

🎄 Block Time Like a Pro This Holiday Season Time isn’t just money—it’s the key to your holiday happiness. So grab your calendar and start blocking time for everything that matters: work, holiday prep, and family fun. If it’s not scheduled, it’s not happening. But here’s the hack: Don’t forget to build in buffers for the unexpected! Your boss’s “quick” request or the school’s surprise bake sale? You’ll want to be ready for them. 🎁 Gift to yourself: Reserve non-negotiable downtime. Trust me—your future self will thank you when you're sipping cocoa instead of running on empty. How do you block your time for the holidays? Share your tips below! #HolidayPlanning #StressFreeHolidays #IntentionalLiving #QualityTime #WorkingParents #LifeInSync #JoyfulLiving

The holiday season isn’t always as joyful for everyone. 🎄 While for many, December brings festive cheer, family gatherings, and moments of warmth, for others, it can be a difficult time. Whether it’s due to loneliness, grief, financial stress, or simply not feeling aligned with the holiday spirit, the season can trigger strong emotional challenges. It’s crucial that we, as HR leaders, recognise and respond to the diverse experiences of our teams during this period. Here are a few ways we can support our employees: 💬 Be mindful of language. Try more inclusive greetings like: “Enjoy your time off” or “Happy holidays, if you celebrate.” 💌 Acknowledge the difficulty. Don’t shy away from addressing the fact that holidays aren’t always merry. A simple supportive message can go a long way. 🗣️ Check in on your people. Some employees may be struggling more than others. Take the time to reach out, especially to those who’ve had a tough year. 🤝 Encourage flexibility. Allowing employees to choose their shifts can be a considerate way to support their needs. As we go into this season, let’s make sure our employees feel seen and supported, especially those who may be navigating difficult emotions during the holidays. 💚 #holidays #wellbeing #workplacewellbeing

Here come the holidays—when our inboxes slow to a trickle, calendars fill with festive distractions, and to-do lists find themselves at the mercy of holiday preparations (or little ones who suddenly need our full attention). Over the years, I’ve noticed how the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving often bring a shift: communication with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and sites starts to feel like a sleigh ride through molasses. But not everyone slows down! There’s always a group making a year-end dash to launch new studies or wrap up completed ones. It’s like watching a holiday rom-com — chaos ensues, but there’s a happy ending. So, how do we keep the season “Merry and bright” while staying productive? Here’s my tried-and-true approach: 🎯 Set Expectations Early: Before holiday PTOs start, reach out to collaborators to sync on timelines and limitations. 📝 Plan for the Gaps: Account for delays in communication and adjust your schedules accordingly. ❤️ Stay Flexible: Embrace the spirit of the season and keep the pressure low for yourself and others. The holidays are about connection—whether it’s with work colleagues or family and friends. As we head into this season of celebration, it’s time to swap notes, plan smart, and most importantly—enjoy! What are your tips for staying sane and productive as the holidays approach? Let’s share and make the season brighter for all. 🌟 #HolidaySeason #ClinicalTrials #WorkLifeBalance #PlanningAhead
