Marketing idea #2 - For food & beverage brands (adult beverages in this case) ⬇️ I recently discovered BRĒZ, a cool brand that makes non-alcoholic, microdosed drinks. So here's a marketing idea for 4/20, which is also their birthday (that's good marketing!). I used TikTok in this example since they have a decent following there. But in retrospect, I'd make it social network agnostic and use the same link across all social networks unless you need to collect social usernames. The gist: Followers take a quick quiz to discover their new fav flavor for a chance to win a $420 gift card. Benefit: Customers get exposed to what Brez offers, including the perfect one for them, and Brez gets contact deets + product preferences for future marketing, informing product development, etc. Let me know what industry/brand to do next.

As Black Friday and the holiday season nears it’s always a time when I question whether to do something to promote special deals or not. But over the years I’ve learned not to shy away from doing a special sale in the name of revolting against the status quo for businesses during the holiday season. Because refusing to participate is a recipe for being forgotten to the big name and big box brands. We usually like to do a bigger package deal for our existing members for Black Friday but this year I’ve been noticing that budgets are tighter so instead we are doing deals on smaller packages to make it a great holiday gift or treat for yourself to get you through the colder months. There’s often a surge in registration requests in the six weeks leading up to a conference or summit. Without a plan, this feels stressful. Is there room in the budget? How are we supposed to give the food & beverage vendors accurate headcounts? What about the seating layout in the breakout session rooms? Instead, plan for it. Build in some buffer budget and use the six weeks before an event to your advantage. To boost registration in those last six weeks, try some of these ideas: 🏆 Host an internal competition with your sales team with actual prizes people want to win, like a staycation in their city with a hotel & dinner gift card 📝 Pull a list of last year's attendees who aren’t yet registered and strategically pick a handful who you want to invite for free 🤝 Slack managers and reps about driving final registration with their codes if they have any left 🎤 Give speakers and sponsors custom graphics to share on LinkedIn, complete with a discount code 🎟️ Create a social competition with a final flash sale where your whole company is invited to post about the discount to be entered into a raffle #userconferences #summits #eventmarketing
