The simple solution to high residential electricity cost is to install solar panels on every residential home. Fortunately, even at today’s prices the ROI on home solar and battery storage is five years or less (5<ROI). Additionally, installing solar panels on residential homes relieves the need for large solar farms or wind farm installations that take up valuable land or ocean area. In short, distributed solar is the long term solution to California’s high energy costs. Bottom line: Everyone benefits when a homeowner switches to solar, except monopoly utilities.

This is excellent news and perfectly aligns with the increased natural gas production required for LNG exports. The Montney is a prolific basin capable of supporting a major international NGL export hub. This virtuous cycle could significantly boost activity on the Pacific coast, establishing it as a premier energy shipping hub.
I’m excited to share that we have reached a positive final investment decision on our Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) project, a joint venture with Vopak. Reaching this critical milestone is a true testament to the work of our team and collaboration with our Indigenous partners, local leaders and community members. Thank you all for your support and consultation. Now, let’s get to work! https://lnkd.in/ge6DjEaB
