Seeking Resolution: EPFO Record Correction with Bharti AXA
I’d like to share a challenge I’ve been dealing with regarding my employment records with Bharti AXA. Back in October 2020, I helped my friend to meet their targets, but this inadvertently led to my status being recorded as an employee instead of an agent. I believe this error occurred due to an administrative oversight or misunderstanding.
Since October 2023, I’ve been actively requesting Bharti AXA to correct this error. They provided me with a Non-Working Certificate acknowledging the oversight but have stated that they cannot request EPFO to delete the record. Instead, they advised processing the correction by entering and exiting on the same date.
As of May 2024, the Joint Declaration submitted for this correction has been verified by employer Bharti AXA but is still pending review with the EPFO Bandra Field Officer. Unfortunately, the process remains incomplete, leaving me in a prolonged state of uncertainty.
I’m sharing this post to connect with professionals who have experience navigating similar EPFO processes or who can offer guidance on resolving such issues efficiently. Any advice, support, or direction would be greatly appreciated as I work toward clearing this misunderstanding and ensuring my records reflect my accurate status.
