We pay everyone who makes Naked Sprout a fair wage, and we balance our costs by reducing waste in our energy supply, packaging, and transport. It means we don’t have huge margins that we can slash for the last Friday of November. Instead, we’re priced fairly all year round, making sure the people who make our products get a good deal, and so do our customers. Even though we don’t do flash sales, there are some other ways you can save on Naked Sprout. Amazon's week-long Black Friday sale starts today, shifting the cost of bargain deals onto workers and the planet. 80% of Black Friday purchases have been thrown away. Promoting excessive-consumption, Black Friday has become one of the busiest shopping days of the year (I've been guilty of this in the past too!). It's not just buying new goods impacting the environment but the impact of delivery and CO2 emissions. It's become imperative for businesses to adopt eco-conscious practices across their operations, including B2B gifting. Whilst gifts create a positive response, I'm mindful that this happiness comes at a cost. Responsible gifting is the goal for us at Barney. When sourcing gifts I like to consider how our suppliers operate, the materials used and their impact to the environment. And to minimise our own impact, we are always educating ourselves on how we can implement sustainable practices in our operations. Small steps can lead to big change. As we have finally settled in to our new HQ and gearing up to a busy month ahead, I encourage you to buy from businesses that are better for the planet this festive season rather than succumb to the careless campaigns that encourage mass consumerism.
