National Good Samaritan Day, also known as Good Samaritan Involvement Day, is celebrated on March 13th each year. National Good Samaritan Day emphasizes the importance of unselfish actions to help those in need and to encourage acts of kindness. Celebrating National Good Samaritan Day involves performing acts of kindness, big or small, to help others around you. Here are some ways you can observe this day: 1. Perform Random Acts of Kindness: Simple gestures like paying for someone's coffee, holding the door open for others, or leaving a positive note for someone can make a big difference in someone's day. 2. Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to local charities, shelters, food banks, or any organization that benefits your community. Volunteering is a great way to make a positive impact. 3. Check on Neighbors: Look after your neighbors, especially those who are elderly, live alone, or might need some extra help. 4. Donate to Causes: Financial donations to charitable organizations or causes you care about can support those in need and contribute to the greater good. #NationalGoodSamaritanDay #GoodSamaritanInvolvementDay

It's officially #NationalPicNicWeek What better way to celebrate it if not organising your very own #PATnic?! All you need to do is register to host a PATnic at the link below and we will send you a pack with everything you need to get started. This includes bunting, invitations, posters to promote your PATnic, a useful guide and checklist and all the instructions you need. A PATnic is a picnic with a difference, raising money for Pets As Therapy. It’s a great opportunity for people and pets to come together to chat, share food and drink, perhaps play games, take photos – have fun while fundraising. Your money will help us in many ways. Visits by PAT Teams can bring comfort and companionship to people who may feel isolated, confused or lonely. They help young people to improve their literacy skills and encourage confidence and concentration in the classroom. Visits also aid a patient’s recovery and rehabilitation and help improve mental health and wellbeing. https://lnkd.in/egkGTyB7 #PetsAsTherapy #community #Fundraising ##support #Charity #picnic #volunteeringmatters #socialimpact #charityeventsupport #charityevent

"I once heard my mother asking our neighbors for salt, even though we had plenty at home. Curious, I asked her why. She explained, 'Our neighbors don't have much money and often come to us for help. By occasionally asking them for small, inexpensive things, I show that we need them too. This helps them feel more comfortable and makes it easier for them to ask for what they need.' From this, I learned the importance of empathy, humility, and support. Let's raise children with these values and more." Charity and seva (selfless service) are not just about grand gestures like lavish langars (community meals) or large donations. True charity lies in understanding who is going through tough times and finding ways to help them, offering comfort and peace. It's about the small, meaningful acts of kindness that can make a big difference in someone's life. Life is full of challenges for everyone. By easing the burdens from others' shoulders, you will find that you feel better inside. Your soul will smile, knowing that you have made a positive impact. Keep doing good unconditionally, not for recognition or reward, but because it is the right thing to do. Small acts of kindness and understanding can create a ripple effect, fostering a more compassionate and supportive community. #Empathy #Humility #Support #Kindness #Charity #Seva #SelflessService #Community #Compassion #DoGood #SpreadLove #RandomActsOfKindness #PayItForward #HelpingOthers #Humanity #PositiveImpact #GoodDeeds #UnconditionalLove #TogetherWeCan #ninebee #naamtera

The other day, a friend asked me if I had any items to donate for her charity drive? Absolutely!!💯 I agreed to put some things together. One thing led to another, and I started asking around my neighborhood if anyone else wanted to pitch in - after all, we are stronger in numbers. 💪 🫶 My friend offered to pick up the items from my home, which made the process so much easier – so I offered the same service to others who were willing to donate. As I was looking through some posts on my neighborhood Facebook group, I realized a lot of people had questions about the donation process. The main questions were: where to donate and what items would be in demand? ❓ That got me thinking: when the holiday season is in full swing, we all become a little more thankful for the blessings we have and more aware of those who are not as lucky. 🙏 I realized that people want to help and contribute, but the biggest obstacle is the unknown. 🫤 In fact, the number ONE reason why people might not donate is lack of awareness. Many aren’t sure where to donate, what to donate, or how to help effectively. To make the donation process simple and accessible, because every small act of kindness counts, I decided to make the process easier by creating a simple guide. Let's make a difference this season and all year round! 👏 - KD 💗 #HolidayGiving #CommunitySupport #MakeADifference #SeasonOfGiving #Volunteer #CharityDrive #GivingBack
