PROVOCATIVE POST WARNING. The post is my own opinion, and does not constitute any opinion of my employer. I'm asking questions based on new information. This isn't a political post, it's a scientific question. Powering a fully AI-enabled data center would require every Joule of energy from an entire Nuclear Power Plant (not a single reactor). I'm not sure if nuclear power is considered green (especially since we don't currently know how to recycle its waste products) , but I suspect there is no source of energy on this planet known today, aside from nuclear, which is capable of powering our future. Perhaps we should start investing more research into converting nuclear waste product into safe material and turning it green, and less investing and promotion of existing and low performing green technologies which arent capable of sufficient output? https://lnkd.in/egGyMAcq?
