You're just as bad as the other lot! University of Oxford /cf/ University of Cambridge - when we speak, we're supposed to make sense. -*- What does Merry Christmas mean? We hope you Enjoy Christmas? Enjoy what about Christmas? Presumably something to do with the birth of Jesus? What if the secret to the enjoyment of life was revealed today? Christmas day is a celebration of Evolutionary Emergence. Something appearing from nothing - as described by #VB (Virgin Birth). How can understanding evolutionary emergence (as demonstrated by Jesus on his birthday) help people to enjoy this (to have a Merry Christmas) and EVERY (to live happily ever after) other day? The realisation that the exact same process of emergence may occur within the human mind (through Learning what is loved) - to give rise to the '#VB' in context of an individual's quality. To become an unprecedented better (hence '#VB') than we were just momentarily a priori. The gift of Christmas is to teach us that the ENTIRE basis to reality is in Emergence. Emergence may occur within an abstraction layer (for instance in the development of mind in understanding /or/ art as we get better in both) - or it can happen, essentially similarly - in the transition between abstaction layers (species) - as we see today albeit several thousand years away.

These headlines are very comical. Not sure how you have a job after this forecast. When these headlines come out the only thing a long-term investor should be considering is how much stock do I want to be buying.

Today is Cinco de Mayo! Last year, Damaris Punales-Alpizar, a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University shared insights about common misconceptions surrounding this holiday. 💡 Misconception 1: "Cinco de Mayo is Mexico’s Independence Day." Cinco de Mayo recognizes when nationalist troops unexpectedly won the Battle of Puebla against the French Army in 1862. 💡 Misconception 2: "Cinco de Mayo is a major holiday in Mexico." For many years, Cinco de Mayo celebrations were limited to the state of Puebla, but overall, the day is not widely celebrated across Mexico. In the United States, the date is largely seen as a celebration of Mexican American culture stretching back to the 1800s in California.   💡 Misconception 3: "Cinco de Mayo is centered on partying." By the late 1980s, marketing campaigns brought Cinco de Mayo to the public eye with beer companies promoting drinking as a way to celebrate the date.
