Rhys Powell sat down with Farrell Evans and Inc. Magazine to talk about Red Rabbit, LLC and our Social Justice roots, innovation and dedication to uplift within Black & Brown communities. "We go into the poorest communities in America in a way that uplifts and honors the children and families there, so that the children see themselves as centered and central to the story of ... the school cafeteria. But hopefully that extends out to the story of how they see themselves in society." https://lnkd.in/eaP6Da7g #socialjustice , #foodjustice, #schoolfood , #redrabbit #uplift

STORY TIME: I had lunch at my son's school today. Thanksgiving Lunch at school. The food was horrific. Is it just me and my kiddo who can't finish this shtuff? Looking around, I noticed most of the parents and kids did NOT eat their food. They drank the milk, ate the pudding, and nibbled on the rest. Can the US do better? Is there an opportunity for private businesses to help improve the food? This is one of the best school districts in the city btw. #school #food #digitalmarketing

The biggest school meal program in the United States is the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), which was created under President Harry S. Truman in 1946. Food insecurity has risen in recent years, so having this program is important. However, for children with ARFID the school cafeteria can be a scary place. Will there be something for the child with ARFID to eat? Will the kid next to them eat food with a strong smell? Will my friends tease me about the food I bring? Will the child be able to eat in front of peers? #arfid #arfidawareness #arfidsupport #eatingdisorders #eatingdisordersupport #youarenotalone #arfidcircle #schoolcafeteria #schoolanxiety

See for yourselves! 🍲 'Food' featured pretty heavily in both locations, so our kitchen team will be pretty happy with that! #EducationResearch #DemocraticEducation #RelationalPractice #PlayBasedLearning #SelfDirectedLearning #InnovativeEducation #StudentCenteredLearning #EducationInnovation
