The one question that completely changed how I’m planning for 2025… Went to a Hampton dinner last week in London. Honestly, this has been the best investment I’ve made in myself and my career this year. Massive thanks to Noel Andrews for hosting- great food, great company, and overall a great night. It was refreshing to switch off for a night and have some real, intimate conversations with other entrepreneurs. We went around the table sharing goals for next year, and it was reassuring to hear so many people aiming for the same thing: Better work/life balance. One question really stuck with me: "What’s one thing you can do next year that you wish you’d done this year?" My answer? Do more outside of work. More hobbies. More physically challenging stuff- endurance activities, hiking, things that push me outside my comfort zone. Turns out, a lot of other entrepreneurs feel the same. Even those who are successful often admit they’ve sacrificed balance along the way. This dinner helped me realise how important it is to prioritise that balance. It’s cleared my head and set me up with a stronger mindset for 2025. Having that balance is what makes life much more fulfilling. Cheers to an adventurous year ahead. Joe Marston 🚀
What a crew!
Love this, sometimes the most valuable investment is taking a step back and having those real conversations. I think the question hits hard because it forces you to reflect on regret prevention instead of just goal setting.
Work-life balance isn’t just about working less — it’s about being fully present in both your professional and personal life.
"What’s one thing you can do next year that you wish you’d done this year?" Move faster.
Couldn't agree more! Striking that work/life balance is crucial. Here's to more adventurous goals in 2025!
Once you reach a certain size, it's more about balance than just growing in one direction. Joe Marston 🚀
Sounds like a truly inspiring evening and a great way to set intentional goals for the new year!
