The workplace is transforming, and skills-based hiring became a trending topic in 2024. Companies are forgoing degree requirements to focus on what candidates can do, not just where they’ve been, with LinkedIn sharing that 30% of job postings no longer list formal education as essential. In fact, reports show that 65% of hiring managers in the U.S. are now open to hiring based solely on skills and hands-on experience, opening doors to a more diverse and talented workforce. This shift is making hiring five times more inclusive, with nearly 10x talent pool growth for recruiters who focus on competencies over credentials. As AI and automation reshape industries, investing in upskilling and soft skills like adaptability and collaboration can help companies stay agile. #skillsbasedhiring #2024recap #2024businesstrends

Anyone else forget that there was a summer Olympics this year? 2024 was a lot. I'm not entirely convinced that 2025 is going to be any less...odd. The first three days of the week are W/T/F so not much hope there 🥴 😂 HR tech in 2024 had an insane impact on how people find people. Either to work with or to hire. After attending 5+ conferences this year, it's evolving faster than many are willing to adapt to. Here's what I learned: 1. Agility is Key 90% of recruiters are prioritizing agility. It’s all about being ready to adapt to quickly changing company strategies and meeting those hiring needs! 2. Skills Over Degrees “New collar” jobs are exploding, with companies focusing on skills rather than traditional degrees—especially in tech. Mostly because not enough people have the degrees but do have the life experience and taught themselves. 3. Proactive Talent Pipelines Building talent pipelines is key to scaling fast. We can’t wait for a request to find a skill set — we need to predict those needs and market the heck out of the future opportunity to build that talent pool. 4. AI as a Partner I was chatting with Jessica Majno this morning about building AI, and she summed it up perfectly: AI is sold as a tool, but it’s a decision-making partner. Sometimes it gets it right immediately, and sometimes it needs more guidance so it gets it right next time. Just like that new team member. Staffing agencies that choose AI in 2025 as one of their most crucial partnership decisions will come out ahead — it’s how they’ll deliver amazing results to clients, faster than ever. Who's ready for 2025?! 🙋♀️ #RecruitmentTrends2025 #StaffingInnovation #FutureOfWork"
