While this post is a bit 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱, the thrill of holding this trophy for my performance in the Mangla Golf Tournament - Winter 2023-24 feels amazing, battling the 150+ Golfers at GBGC. Golf, like business and life, it is a game of precision, patience, and practice. Every swing requires 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, every shot demands 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆, and every obstacle tests 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. These are principles are necessary to succeed in every day life both on and off the course. 🏌️♂️ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Sometimes the rewards of hard work take time to arrive, but the wait makes it even more rewarding. WITH THE HUGE PGA/ DP WORLD and LIV/ PIF/ GOLF SAUDI MERGER WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN DEVELOPMENT GOLF. As we come to the end of the golf season in the UK and the huge possible merger between LIV/GOLF SAUDI AND THE PGA TOUR/DP World tour what is going to happen in development golf. Across Europe there are multiple satellite tours that feed young aspiring pros in to the big time. But to lack of sponsorship and financial backing the cost to these young pros are huge and almost impossible to progress. We end up with many pros getting into huge debt as each week could cost upto £1200 a week. A total of over £24k a year just to play and travel. The clutch pro tour in the UK offer the largest prize in Europe of £50k per event. Tartan tour and the alps tour on average have a weekly prize fund of £35-40k. My big question is when is the huge amounts of money from the top end of golf going to support the players of the future in Europe? Golf Saudi DP World Tour LIV Golf Public Investment Fund (PIF) The Americans have the collegiate system and in Europe we are so far behind. If our players don’t go to college then they start with a huge disadvantage. Something needs to change and fast.
