Cracking the Airbnb Revenue Code: A Detective's Approach ️♀️ Ever wondered how much Airbnb generates in revenue? It's a massive platform, but without access to their financials, estimating can be a challenge. I have decrypted it. Read the 3-minute blog below to know how I decrypted it without any actual data but got extremely close to the Actual revenue. The actual revenue in 2021 is 5.95 Billion USD I estimated 6 Billion USD(due to assumptions and estimations). Would love to hear your approach... What are your thoughts? If a guest pays $500 for an Airbnb, Airbnb keeps ~$71 and you would pay ~$15. Hosts receive ~$414. If a guest pays $500 direct, you pay Stripe 2% and keep ~$490. If you discount your rates 5% for direct, then the guest pays $475 & you keep ~$465 (win/win).
