Have you ever told someone that you were thankful? Have you ever told someone you were grateful? Do you know the difference? I was thinking about this the other day knowing that Thanksgiving was coming up, and how during this time of year we like to give thanks for things. But perhaps it’s also important to share what you’re grateful for once you understand the difference between the two. An interesting article published by Michigan State University helps to simplify the difference between the two words: “Thankful tends to be an automatic response like when someone holds open a door—most people automatically say thank you. Or if you drop something at the grocery store and someone picks it up for you, automatically you say thank you. Gratefulness tends to be an emotional response to reflection of an occurrence or series of occurrences that have made a difference in your life. An example might be a mentor at work who has provided support and guidance to you as you become familiar with your new position and the organization.” As you go into this coming weekend, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, I hope you each have the opportunity to say “thank you” for the moments, like passing the turkey or thanking someone who is helping you on Black Friday (if you venture out into that crazy world). I also hope you find the gratefulness that comes from those moments all put together (relaxing, spending time with family, friends, pets, etc.). Have a wonderful holiday weekend and Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. But can we talk about something for a second? Why do we only take one day a year to say “thank you”? To appreciate the people in our lives? To reflect on what we’re grateful for? Life moves fast. We spend most of it chasing the next goal, the next milestone, the next big thing. And it’s so easy to forget the little things: → That friend who checks in on you randomly. → That colleague who makes work feel less like work. → That stranger who held the door when you were in a rush. Here’s what I’ve learned: - Gratitude isn’t just about the big wins. - It’s about noticing the small moments that make life beautiful. So, this Thanksgiving, let’s try something different. Let’s not just say “thank you” today. Let’s carry it with us—every day, in every way. - Tell someone they matter. - Appreciate the small joys. - Celebrate the now. Because life doesn’t wait for a holiday to give us moments worth being thankful for. P.S.: What’s one thing you’re most thankful for this year?

As you all know, Thanksgiving is a U.S. holiday when most Americans spend time with family and friends expressing gratefulness over the past year. Thanksgiving is also full of traditions: Some are universal, like expressing what you are grateful for, and some are family specific. The biggest tradition in my family is watching my favorite NFL team, the Detroit Lions, play on that Thursday. The Lions have played every Thanksgiving game since 1934, providing a long-standing tradition for many fans. From 1934 up through the late 1950s, the Lions were highly competitive, but in my lifetime, it has been a real struggle, and for many years we just hoped for that singular win on Thanksgiving Day. There has been a real lesson for us Lions fans over the years: You do not give up and you never stop competing! It even gave us a certain pride, but this year is a very different situation. This year I am thankful that the Lions not only have a winning record of 10-1, but they are being talked about seriously as a Super Bowl favorite — a place we have never been before. So, what changed? Well, attracting and retaining top talent is critical, but “GRIT” is what got them here! I see that same “GriTT” in our organization, and it’s what will drive us to even greater achievements. Thanksgiving coincides with my first anniversary as GTT’s CEO. Reflecting on this past year, I marvel at our winning record and how far the organization has come together as a team. We’ve adjusted our strategic course that reflects our customers’ evolving needs, validated by our Customer Advisory Boards and industry analysts, and supported by our investments in network expansion, digital transformation and the exceptional talent we continue to bring aboard. I’m excited to see what 2025 brings to GTT. Keep an eye on us as the realized value of our 2024 digital transformation investments gain momentum, especially with our new, groundbreaking Envision platform. We will continue to reach new heights for our loyal customers and show new ones how we deliver on our promise of Greater Technology Together. To our customers, partners, colleagues and everyone who has been part of this journey - thank you for your trust, collaboration and dedication. Here’s to a new season of gratitude and meaningful connections that keep us all moving forward together. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Ed #Thanksgiving #Connectivity #Thankful #Gratitude #GTT #Telecom

Yesterday I celebrated my 44th birthday. I turned 40 in lockdown and never celebrated, so technically I’ve been 40 for the last 4 years. 👀😂 Anyway, to celebrate with you lovely lot on LinkedIn, here are 10 things I’ve learned over the years: 1. Family is everything. Prioritise time with them before it’s too late. 2. Not everyone will like you, and that’s ok. 3. Make sure people’s actions match their words. Trust people when they show you who they are. 4. Being courageous will open so many doors for you regardless of your upbringing. 5. Nobody has it all figured out, and don’t trust the ones who say they do. 6. Always trust your gut instinct. 7. Energy is contagious: you either affect people or infect people. 8. It’s ok to fail, we all do. Learn how to fail fast. 9. You can always make more money but you can never make more time. 10. Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on you. Thank you for all the birthday wishes.🥳
