With 1,000+ exhibitors from all corners of the globe and 1,300 vessels on display across seven unique show locations, it’s clear that FLIBS isn’t just an event; it’s an economic powerhouse. The economic footprint of FLIBS extends well beyond the show itself, bringing substantial revenue to local businesses—from hotels and restaurants to transportation and retail. It supports thousands of jobs in South Florida and elevates the region’s status as a global hub for marine innovation, attracting industry leaders and new investments year after year. Stirling Council have created instructions for businesses to be able to add the Stirling 900 tag to their event listings with Data Thistle. A new main category tag for all events relating to the celebration of Stirling’s 900 anniversary as a burgh. Using this feature will allow your event listing to appear on the Stirling 900 page of the Your Stirling website. The process for adding this tag is as simple as clicking a button. Instructions: •Create a free account with Data Thistle •Click add a new event listing – Start by entering your event title •Click Continue - Now begin adding the rest of your information – Event description, where & when, venue etc… •Categorisation – select the ‘Stirling 900’ tag under Main Categories (Please note this tag is only visible in Main Categories selection on the bespoke Your Stirling event upload page, accessed on the Your Stirling website) •If you are uploading an event through the Data Thistle website’s generic Add an Event upload page, you will need to ensure you put ‘Stirling 900’ in the Additional keywords section. Weather-proofing your event is one of the most important aspect of event planning. In the UK, more often than not, rain is as much a part of the scenery as the rolling hills. Life isn’t just about survival, (although it sometimes feels like that) it’s about the ability to thrive. We all experience physical reactions, emotions and thoughts in the face of our everyday life, some of which serve us well and some of which not so much. We don’t always stop to think about where those reactions have come from and what they mean. We also don’t often realise that if we develop our physical intelligence and learn how to recognise and understand those reactions, we can actually transform them. People who approach me for coaching are often wanting to build their confidence at home or work, manage feelings of overwhelm, find clarity of thought to make better decisions or want to make a change but are feeling stuck. Something many people have in common is the tendency to spend a great deal of psychological, emotional and physical energy worrying about things that are outside of their control. Understanding how our physiology is impacting on our physical and emotional reactions and then taking proactive steps to manage that using simple but effective pragmatic strategies grounded in neuroscience can be transformative. It's a powerful way to unpack the story of what is really going on for you and inside you. So, having completed a comprehensive online course with Kevin Chapman and Claire Dale last year to add to my coaching portfolio offer, I'm looking forward to meeting them in person at the Leadership Jersey event.
