My 15-year-old, social media-savvy son recently gave me some advice: if I want to grab his attention (and that of others like him) for the upcoming workshop that Natalie Moore and I are running for World Menopause Day on Wednesday, 16th October, I should probably up my hashtag game! Nothing like getting social media tips from your kids, right? While I’m still figuring out the best hashtags to use, consider this your friendly reminder that our "Menopause 101 for Men: How to Support the Women in Your Life" workshop is nearly here! Men have told us that they want to understand menopause and how they can better support the women in their lives during this natural phase. This workshop is a chance to learn, engage in open and honest conversations and ask those burning questions in a supportive space. And the best part? You’ll walk away with insights that could strengthen family dynamics, whether it’s supporting your partner, sister, mother or even a friend. Plus, for men in leadership roles, the workshop will provide valuable takeaways on how to support female colleagues navigating menopause in the workplace. And going back to my son, you might think he’s too young to learn about menopause. The reality is, he’s not. Education around menopause in schools needs to happen - but that is another conversation/another post. He’s willing and ready to learn, and I’m so glad he’s engaged on this topic and making sure I catch his attention. We can all take a leaf out of his book! Book your ticket, grab your lunch and join us virtually for a 12:30 pm kick-off on Wednesday 16th October (AEST). See you online! https://lnkd.in/gEeF6QE9. #menopauseawareness #menopauseeducation #mensupportingwomen

Feeling isolated and alone is a familiar feeling among women in the workplace who are experiencing symptoms of menopause. Women over 40 comprise one-quarter of the workforce, meaning it makes good business sense for employers to consider ways to help their employees through menopause. The alternative could be more costly. In this Financial Post article, Dr. Talia Varley, our Physician Lead for Advisory Services, was asked about what support could look like to create more menopause-inclusive workplaces. From simply showing compassion to basic accommodations for symptoms, there are proven strategies to help validate and support women through this transition. Read her advice for companies here: https://lnkd.in/gAsyUxms If you want to talk to our team about how we work with organizations to better support women’s health, connect with us at corporatehealthcanada@ccf.org.

𝐄𝐱...𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬! - 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭! I'm thrilled to share that I've been featured in the July 2024 issue of Victorious By Design magazine. This 3-page spread dives deep into my journey and the innovative approaches I've developed to help high-achieving women thrive through midlife and menopause. As many of you know, even as a physician, embarrassingly my own experience with menopause caught me off guard. It was a wake-up call that led me to create Back To Sassy Inc. and develop the Synergistic Hormone Balancing System™. In this feature, I open up about that pivotal moment and how it's shaped my mission to empower 100,000 women by 2026. Key highlights from the article: * The reality of menopause for career-driven women * Introduction to Menopause 3.0 - a powerful & revolutionary approach to midlife wellness * Practical tips for navigating this life stage while maintaining professional momentum. What truly excites me is the opportunity to challenge outdated narratives around getting older, ageing (they are different) and female health. We're not 'treating' symptoms, which is what conventional medicine is focused on. We're moving beyond that, redefining what it means to be a vibrant, successful woman in today's world and in the future with a more personal approach and harnessing modern science. To my fellow professionals: Whether you're experiencing these changes yourself or supporting colleagues who are, understanding the impact of menopause in the workplace and our lives is crucial. It's time we bring this conversation into the open and create environments where women can thrive at every stage of life. I'm incredibly grateful to VBD Magazine for this platform to share my message. It's a testament to the growing recognition of women's health issues in mainstream media. Curious to read more? I've dropped a link to the digital version in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Let's keep this important conversation going! #WomensHealth #MenopauseAwareness #CareerWomen #LeadershipDevelopment

Why we at GLORIAH believe Female Health is the right business for us 👇 When we started GLORIAH, we knew we wanted to make a difference, but we had no idea just how much work there was to be done in the field of female health—specifically around menopause. Yes, as two women, you might assume our interest in this space was natural, but the truth is, our journey began with a single story—our friend’s experience with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI). That was our catalyst, but what followed was truly eye-opening. As we began to explore this world, we were struck by the sheer number of women who, like our friend, had struggled in silence. The more we talked, the more we realized how deeply rooted the lack of knowledge and open discussion about menopause really was. It’s a topic that’s too often swept under the rug, treated as something to endure quietly rather than a natural stage of life that deserves support and understanding. Like any taboo subject, once we opened the door, we were flooded with stories—powerful, personal accounts of women who felt unheard, unsupported, and, frankly, unprepared. We knew then that GLORIAH had to be more than just a brand; it had to be a platform for education and advocacy! Female health isn’t just our business—it’s our passion. We’re committed to bringing light to these conversations, breaking down the stigma, and ensuring that no woman feels alone in her journey. This is why we believe we’re in the right business. Because it’s not just about selling products; it’s about making a real, tangible difference in the lives of women everywhere. Thank you to all the incredible women who have shared their stories with us. You are the reason we do what we do! 💌 #FemaleHealth #MenopauseAwareness
