There are three main components to focus on: ✨ Cover Letter ✨ CV/Resume ✨ Answering Application Questions Today's post is all about 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, and I'll keep it as short as possible. Here’s what I’ve noticed: 1. 𝐀𝐈-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐲-𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: They lack the personal touch. It’s easy to spot when a cover letter is just a recycled template. 2. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲: Think of your cover letter as the final piece of the puzzle. It ties your LinkedIn profile and CV together and adds a personal narrative to your application. Delete this information in your resume 📝 🚫 5 Objective Statements : The objective statement is often generic and may not be apt for the position you are applying for. This may limit your opportunity to apply for other positions that you may be open to explore. Instead add a well drafted summary of your career path, that highlight your skills and overall experience. Pro Tip - You can use this space to utilize it as a short cover letter too( keep it simple ). Get creative and drop the outdated objective statements from your resume. 📑
