Funeral and final disposition planning comes in two forms. At-need and pre-need. At-need funeral planning is formed after a loved one unexpectedly passes. This requires surviving family members to plan a funeral while coping with loss and grief. Families often face tough decisions about the final wishes of their deceased loved one while working through financial burden. Pre-planning provides families with answers to the planning process in addition to reducing the financial burden altogether. This week, four individuals reached out to me with questions that were outside the typical remit of a funeral director. These inquiries highlighted the importance of having access to comprehensive end-of-life resources.
