Life update! 📣 I am excited to share that I have accepted a new position with ALDI USA as the Value Chain Optimization Buying Executive Manager at our US headquarters in Chicago! 🎉 This new opportunity marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life and I am eager to bring my skills and abilities to this role. As I move forward, I am reminded that even though one amazing chapter may be closing, an even better one is about to begin. 🆕 A whole new world 🆕 Yesterday, I took the plunge and entered a whole new world... that being the world of Aldi! For someone who doesn't enjoy shopping, I was pleasantly surprised . It wasn't what I had imagined - the store was clean, well-stocked, and quiet (except for the middle aisle, which was a bit strange). I left with random items (pine nuts and flax seeds anyone?) and a sense of why I hadn't been before?!? So, my takeaway from this somewhat underwhelming experience is to do something that you have always imagined will be difficult or uncomfortable. Whether that be applying for a new role, taking a qualification, or speaking to your boss about your future, challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. After taking a moment to reflect on my journey and look ahead to the future, I realize just how diverse my career path has been. The incredible people who have been part of my story have blessed me greatly, playing crucial roles in my success thus far. Through this reflection, I've come to understand a simple but profound truth that I want to share with those navigating the operations space or, like me, seeking new job opportunities. From Culinary Arts to Ed-Tech: A Journey of Operational Excellence Across Diverse Industries: In my career, I've had the privilege to lead operations in multiple industries, each unique, yet fundamentally linked by core principles of efficiency, innovation, and leadership. At OptimaEd, I drove strategic initiatives in the charter school and ed-tech sector, ensuring our processes are streamlined for maximum impact, innovation and positive outcomes. Previously, as the Director of Operations for Lintons Food Service Management, I oversaw multiple business units, elevating client relations, brand recognition, and operational standards across the South Region. My tenure as Director at Gulf Coast Village involved managing comprehensive F&B and nutritional programs, enhancing service quality in dementia care, skilled nursing, and more. From crafting unforgettable dining experiences at Drake Software to managing multi-account operations at Sodexo and ARAMARK, and even leading culinary excellence at The Walt Disney Company, each role honed my skills in leadership, budgeting, staff training, client relations, and strategic planning. Core operational skills like strategic thinking, process refinement, and leadership are universal and can be effectively applied across different sectors.
