Dairy Milk made millions of Dollars by changing its shape. Back in 2013, Dairy Mill changed its shape from square edges to rounded edges and it had two massive impacts. 1/ The new dairy millk weighed 10% lesser without any change in price. A classic case of Shrinkflation. 2/ Everyone felt that the new dairy milk was sweeter, and complained for adding too much sugar. But in fact, Cadbury used the exact same recipe and there was no additional sugar. So, what exactly happened? As per gastrophysics, rounded shapes tend to make food sweeter and that’s why the new dairy milk felt sweeter. A reasonable explanation to why most Indians desserts are round in shape!

Always speak the language that consumers understand. Using technical jargon may sound impressive, but it can also be confusing and off-putting.
