Have you heard of the Female Founders Night yet? The Female Founders Night is a student-led initiative that was founded by students from Zeppelin University. Our goal is to motivate and inspire people to pursue their own entrepreneurial journeys, as diverse perspectives foster creativity, innovation and success in the entrepreneurial landscape. Our aim is to create a dynamic platform for constructive exchange and networking together with many impressive speakers from a wide range of industries. Why is the FFN important? Founders are essential to economic growth, job creation, innovation and progress in our economy. Yet, women still remain underrepesented in startups. The Female Founders Night aims to change this, boosting Germany's global competitiveness. #startups #femalefoundersnight #entrepreneurship

Did you know? Female founders' share in German startups has decreased from 20.7% in 2023 to 17.7% in 2024. These numbers from the Deutscher Startup Monitor 2024 aren't just statistics – they're a call to action. 📊 That's why we're especially proud that TripLeap participated in the German Accelerator Focus-Program "Empowering Diversity in Ventures" this December! During three intensive days, we joined forces with other founders committed to changing these numbers. The program offered invaluable roundtable discussions with different experts focusing on fundraising strategies, navigating work-life balance, empowering diversity and many more. The highlight that awaits us? Four hours of free personalized mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts through specific business challenges we have! Special thanks to the BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate) for making this impactful program possible. Together, we're working toward a more inclusive startup ecosystem! 💪 German Accelerator Start2 Group #WomenInTech #DiversityMatters #StartupLife #FemaleFounders #Innovation #GermanAccelerator #BMWK

Closing the #FemaleFounder Funding gap is everyone’s responsibility ♂ ♀ Why? Because we're building a society and economy for everyone. There’s plenty of incredible Female voices flying the flag 🇭🇲 But we need more of the men in startups - investors, mentors, founders, employers, supporters - to be doing more. ✅ Sometimes that also means getting out of the way (so others can enter the spotlight). ✅ Sometimes that means highlighting a range of startups, not just the ones we know. ✅ Sometimes that means shutting up and listening and acknowledging your opinion may need to evolve. This is one of those listening opportunities... The Australian Premiere of the award-winning film, 'Show Her The Money'! 💰 is happening next week and I suggest as many of the males in Sydney startup land attend and learn more about what we can be doing to help build a stronger, diverse and better society and economy. It's a powerful and uplifting documentary that sheds light on the challenges and triumphs of women entrepreneurs in their quest for funding and success. Where: Fishburners, Sydney When: June 28, 2024 4:30pm - 7:30pm What: Screening, networking, panel ft Film's producer Catherine Gray 🎥 You can grab your ticket here: https://lnkd.in/gE67tJ2N and because Dickie Currer offered, use his promo code DICKIEBACKSHER at checkout for a special discount. #Startups #entrepreneurship #innovation #tech #FemaleFounders F5 Collective Fishburners ACS (Australian Computer Society)

We listened to Oxonian Ventures this week, who have achieved an impressive 50% female founder-led companies in their portfolio. 🚀 This feat is remarkable, especially considering that only 5.2% of Europe's VC rounds involve startups founded solely by women, and just 20.2% include at least one female co-founder (according to PitchBook's European VC female founders dashboard). Katy Tuncer has shared some insights into what's enabling this success. We're curious to hear your thoughts: 1) What strategies do you think contribute to achieving such a balanced portfolio? 2) How can we see this level of diversity replicated across the VC landscape? 3) What benefits do you foresee from increased representation of female founders? Let's discuss how we can foster a more inclusive startup ecosystem. Your experiences and ideas are valuable - share them below! #VentureCapital #DiversityInTech #FemaleFounders #StartupEcosystem
What on Earth is going on with Oxonian Ventures? This is Neil Wolff calmly reporting that they've achieved something astonishing: 50% female founder-led companies in their portfolio. NB to put this in context, 5.2% of Europe’s VC rounds involved startups founded by only women and companies with at least one female co-founder claimed 20.2% of deals, according to PitchBook’s European VC female founders dashboard. It's too early to report exits and fund performance for Oxonians, but the evidence says that they can expect out-sized returns with this profile. (e.g. a 2018 study, “Why Women-Owned Startups Are a Better Bet”, by Boston Consulting Group found that for every dollar of investment raised, startups with at least one female founder produced 78 cents in revenue, compared to 31 cents generated by all-male run startups.) What's the secret for the Oxonians? How did they achieve this 50%? We could think of three possible enablers: 1. They provide access and engagement to entrepreneurs such that a full representation of entrepreneurial female Oxford graduates chooses to pitch. 2. Their investment panel is magically free from subconscious bias against women. 3. Their investment criteria are beautifully aligned with value creation potential and free from mis-leading proxies such as preferred drink at the bar (or similar). First off, well done Oxonians. Secondly, friends and colleagues, please let's work out what has driven this success and let's replicate. Who has insight please? #scaleup #business #leadership #diversity #valuecreation #venturecapital Isabell Sheang Tania Jain Celine Rich Darley Horizon37
