Public trust in institutions to use generative AI responsibly is generally low. While around half of respondents in six surveyed countries trust scientists and healthcare professionals, less than 40% trust other sectors. Politicians and political parties are distrusted, with figures as low as 7% in the UK and up to 21% in the USA. This survey offers quite an interesting perspective. Does this mean that people do not trust themselves to use GenAI, in a responsible way when they want to become empowered patients?
