We’ve been absolutely blown away by the kind and generous donations we’ve received in the first few days of our Christmas appeal. Thank you so much to everyone who has made a donation. It means so much to each of our volunteers and more importantly it means a lot to every child, young person and family that we support. Hopefully, Esmé’s Christmas Wish mailing will have arrived on your doorsteps this week. We know that this year has been a difficult year for some, so if you aren’t able to make a donation yourself, please do pass the mailing onto a friend or relative to read this important story and learn more about life with JIA. We also have some spare copies if anyone needs extra copies to pass to friends and family members or to door drop in your local area. This winter, NASS is launching a Winter Appeal to provide essential support and services to people living with axial SpA. Your donations will enable us to: • Offer advice and resources to help individuals manage their symptoms. • Provide supportive community connections to combat isolation. Every contribution makes a difference. For example: • A donation of £25 can help up to 40 people receive at least one guidebook from their rheumatologist to help them manage their symptoms between hospital appointments. • £50 can help one person apply for disability benefits with expert advice and support. • £250 can help people with axial SpA meet others going through similar experiences at a Your SpAce meetup. West Midlands helps to make Quality Moments Matter with £5,000 donation to Hope House 🤝   A #Shropshire-based children’s hospice has secured a £5,000 donation from our West Midlands team, helping to support the hospice’s latest campaign, Quality Moments Matter.   Hope House received the funding boost as part of our Community Champions initiative. Hope House Children’s Hospices is a charity that gives every local child with a life-threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.   The Quality Moments Matter campaign aims to raise £400,000 to bring fun and joy to all local children suffering with a life-threatening condition. As part of this, the hospice will be holding a fundraising marathon on the 17th and 18th November to achieve this wider goal. Our funding will help to contribute to the wider target, supporting the hospice and its families to improve the quality of life of sick children.   The donation was marked by a visit from Lee Perry, Technical Director for Persimmon West Midlands and Cllr Dean Carroll, Portfolio Holder for Growth, Regeneration and Housing at Shropshire Council. #PersimmonHomes
