(If you want to see the kewl graphics Bruce added, you can read it here: https://lnkd.in/gmt8xm95 ) Here, at the end of 2024, are my wishes for you. —May you have a deeply joy-filled season, whichever holidays you do (or don’t) celebrate. —May you give yourself the gift of true rest in this, the darkest time of the year in the northern hemisphere, when the natural world shows us the value of stepping back from all the do-ing and instead going inward. —May you connect on a deep level with who—or what—fills you up the most. —May you leave behind all that no longer serves you in 2024. —May you take with you the best of yourself, your gifts, your hopes, and your vision as you move into the new year with all its promise. And, —May 2025 bring you the perfect opportunities to turn that vision into your new reality. I’ll be taking the next two weeks off from work. My plans will have me back on January 6th, rested and recharged. I highly recommend taking a full two weeks off from work. Research shows you need a week to stop thinking about work and another week after that to really get the benefit of the break to supercharge your energy and creativity. A well-organised plan can set the tone for a strong beginning to the year. 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞: For example, outline a January content calendar now, so you can start implementing it without delay. 4️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 Taking real time to unwind is essential for a productive year. Remember, you can’t give your best unless you’re well-rested. 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞: Give yourself a few days entirely offline to recharge and be fully ready to dive back in. Hear me out: As we move into the "final quarter" of 2024 tomorrow, a friendly reminder that you actually don't have to kick it into high gear and meet any new or even existing goals to "finish the year out strong." You can prioritize rest, especially considering with the holidays it's typically the busiest time of year for many of us. Maybe your goal should be to slow down. To check your remaining time off and schedule in a long weekend or two. Maybe you should focus on showing up and being fully present. Maybe your calendar should look more empty than it does full. Just my two cents. All we have is time. Be mindful of how you're spending it and pay attention to what you're prioritizing.

As the year winds down, December often turns into a mad dash to wrap up projects—and for many, to use up those leftover vacation days!😅 It’s no surprise that we suddenly hear, “I still have vacation days, can I take them?” 🤪 But here’s the thing: it shouldn’t work that way. 💡 Rest and recharge are essential throughout the year. Taking regular time off isn’t just about escaping the office; it’s about maintaining a healthy balance and avoiding burnout. Even if you don’t plan an extravagant getaway, taking time to simply do nothing can work wonders for your energy, creativity, and overall productivity. For managers, it’s crucial to keep an eye on your team’s workload and encourage them to use their vacation time throughout the year. Proactively checking in and helping plan time off is a win-win: your team stays refreshed, and your projects get the best version of them. So, let’s make rest a priority—not a last-minute scramble. A productive team is a well-rested team! And let's close the year strong, with balance and intention. 🌟 #GetDevDone

Today marks the rentrée for many kids in France—staggered start dates, endless forms to fill out, half-days, school supplies to buy (and then again once they get to school!) alognside other last-minute requests. For parents, this can feel like a whirlwind! But whether or not you have kids, this time of year brings a shift in routine. Holidays are over, but it's not quite time to dive back into full-speed work mode. Give yourself a break—this week is all about easing back in. Next week, we'll have a solid six weeks before the next holiday break. That's plenty of time to get productive and refocus on your goals. Here are a few tips to help you get back into your routine: 🔵 Review Your Goals: Take a moment to reassess what you want to achieve in this final quarter of the year. 🔵 Check Your Progress: Look at your sales targets and how much you’ve earned so far. This is a great time to see where you stand. 🔵 Set Realistic Targets: Based on your progress, set a realistic target for the rest of the year. What do you want to accomplish by year-end? 🔵 Plan Your Strategy: Think about what steps you need to take to hit those targets. Whether it’s reaching out to new clients, creating content, or focusing on personal wellness, make a plan. 🔵 Schedule Time for Yourself: Don’t forget to prioritize your health and well-being. Set aside time for planning, exercising, or even just taking a break. Let’s make the most of these next few weeks and end the year on a high note!
