Onshore solutions are absolutely needed. However, it is private companies like Mint Innovation that will move e-waste recycling and refining forward rather than government mandates. A private-public partnership on the value and importance of recycling will change the tide. If companies on the leading edge of this technology do their job through marketing and public relations, then government mandates will be irrelevant.
