🌱 Every Student Deserves a Chance to Rise 🌱 Imagine a high school student, uncertain about their future, discovering a purpose that not only changes their own life but also inspires younger students. That’s what Root 2 Rise is all about. Since 2017, we’ve turned challenges into opportunities by placing over 300 high school students as Tutor-Mentors for K-5 classrooms. These students, often at risk of not graduating, gain confidence, life skills, and a renewed passion for education while positively impacting more than 6,000 younger students in their community. 🎓 How does it work? • They sign a commitment to high standards. • Receive training in tutoring, mentoring, and life skills. • Complete the program, earning academic credit and a stipend. 💡 Your support this Giving Tuesday can make stories like these possible. Investing deeply in student-teacher relationships has a meaningful impact on student learning experiences and contributes to improved student well-being and academic success. When we partnered with a school in Philadelphia to focus on relationship building, results showed that 96% of students reported positive relationships with their teachers and a 7.3% increase in students reporting positive relationships with all adults and students at their school (as compared to the prior quarter)!
