We're hiring 🚀 💪   I'm looking for a new member of our Berlin-based team to support the Central and Eastern European corporate intelligence practice. If you speak Polish, Czech, Romanian or Greek (maybe not all at once?), and can converse on how privatisation formed business landscapes across Central and Eastern Europe, name a couple of Czech real-estate and betting enterpreneurs, share a meme or two about the Romanian presidential elections and tell the difference between "peace" and "PiS" - you're in the right place!   And yes, speaking the language means more than ordering a beer in Czech or saying "kalimera" in Greek!   💡 What You’ll Bring: ✔ The ability to channel your internal investigative journalist on exciting projects, summarize and present mountains of information from open source research and human intelligence in a concise manner. ✔ A healthy obsession with details and figuring out puzzles and convoluted financial crime issues—not too much…Seriously, we won't have time to "bellingcat" a new Wirecard, but we might get the ball rolling… ✔ An understanding of Central and Eastern Europe’s politics and commerce that makes an interesting conversation at parties: we're talking from discussing energy security for state-owned companies in CEE, to commenting on Tusk's latest TikTok or playing a memory game to match Greek shipowners with their football clubs. ✔ Teamwork skills and a genuine enthusiasm for collaborating: we come to the office, exchange ideas, and brainstorm our way to the bottom of an issue. Even when the job calls for solo sleuthing, every project feels like a team effort—and hey, who doesn’t enjoy a little Netflix-level intrigue sprinkled into the process?   💼 Why Control Risks?
