𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬? Recently, we helped a company find an alternative crystal successfully. This experience reminds me of the possibilities between us. Why do clients sometimes have shortages of crystal oscillators? High-end oscillators, like active crystal oscillators, differential crystal oscillators, TCXOs, VCTCXOs, and OCXOs, often run out of stock. These products are expensive, so customers usually don’t keep extra stock and search for available ones when needed. Since many of these products are customized, it’s hard to find them quickly. Sometimes, clients also get large orders much bigger than planned, which can cause shortages. We have some ways to handle this. For high-end products, we inform the factory to keep some semi-finished stock so that when there’s high demand, we can shorten production time and meet the customer’s needs faster. Chinese manufacturers are more stable, with shorter delivery times, better service, and lower prices. Overseas companies like ABRACON usually take 10-15 weeks to deliver, which makes it hard to meet fast market demands. Companies like ABRACON don’t produce their oscillators; they get them from factories in China and then sell them to Europe and the US. So, there’s no difference in the quality of crystal oscillators in China. Currently, we offer the following types of crystal oscillators: #TCXOs (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators): Used in temperature-sensitive applications to ensure accuracy. #OCXOs (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillators): Used in high-precision systems, like communication base stations and #satellites. #VCXOs (Voltage-Controlled Crystal Oscillators): Used in applications where the frequency needs to be adjusted. With our experience and supply chain connections, we can continue helping more clients with their crystal oscillator needs. Significantly, in markets where shortages happen, we can assist them in finding suitable replacements or improving your purchasing process. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts. 🚨 We want to hear from you! 🗣 ACER is seeking input on revising the Annex of the #REMIT Implementing Regulation. 🔎 On 7 May 2024, the revised #REMITRegulation (Regulation on Wholesale #Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) came into force, tasking the European Commission to update #DataReporting requirements by 8 May 2025. Why is ACER consulting? 💡 Following the publication of the revised REMIT, ACER has received numerous requests from #stakeholders seeking clarification on the REMIT Implementing Regulation, especially its Annex, which outlines the information to be reported to ACER. In this context, ACER is launching a #PublicConsultation (🔗https://lnkd.in/dTvB5aDF) to gather stakeholders’ inputs on #DataCollection aspects and field descriptions. The key to #Chiplets is enabling higher level design sign-off so that OEMs don't have to do the RTL->GDSII piece themselves and a design can be implemented either as multiple ICs or one big one. $/transistor cost has not improved since 28nm, so a SoC die-stack implementation of a system could be cost effective vs a single chip version. Getting the best price is difficult when packaging/process is the first decision and not the last.
Chiplets have been around for over 10 years and there are still ZERO openly available chiplets in the market. Chiplets have the potential of revolutionizing the $1T global electronics market, but only if start actually bulding the right set of chiplets. ACER is consulting on the draft network code on demand response. 📑 On 8 May 2024, ACER received the #electricity system operators’ proposal for an #EU-wide network code on #DemandResponse.
