𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒆, 𝒉𝒚𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒅, 𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒏-𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆? 👀 The tech industry may still lead in fully remote companies, but this trend has been declining over the past few years. Tech giants like Amazon and Meta are enforcing strict return-to-office mandates, while companies like Spotify champion flexibility, stating: "𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏. 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐; 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐." In this edition of #TechCareerDecoded, we bring insights from tech companies and Michael Page experts about the different working models and how they can impact attracting top talent. I believe a truly flexible model is crucial for retaining top talent, regardless of their field. With the right logistics, companies can adapt to employees’ needs, making it an attractive perk that enhances performance and work-life balance.

Hybrid work strikes the perfect balance: in-office teamwork fosters face-to-face collaboration and the rebuilding of genuine connections, while working from home allows for undistracted focus on important tasks, offering a necessary change of environment and a mental break

Work model preferences depend on experience and personal situation. Freshers and students often prefer WFH or hybrid setups for flexibility, while experienced professionals might choose office environments for networking and collaboration. Those reentering the workforce after gaps may find hybrid models easier for transition. In general, a hybrid approach offers the best balance of flexibility, productivity, and social interaction for all stages of a career.

I'm in favour of a hybrid model - Katarina Berg's comments "You can’t spend a lot of time hiring grown-ups and then treat them like children. We are a business that’s been digital from birth, so why shouldn’t we give our people flexibility and freedom?" are inspiring and is a great organisational mindset.

I have two points of feedback for whom it may concern. I had to resort to leaving a comment, as I am unable to submit through the website, as a technical issue is preventing me from submitting the form. 1. The Communications Specialist (JN-112024-6594490) is incorrectly listed as Houston, MN, when the description says Houston, TX. I don't think you will find the applicants you seek. 2. The Contact Us form on the website has an issue with the comment box. I received a red message below the box stating "Comments does not meet the requirements" which firstly, is incorrect grammar. And secondly, does not describe what requirements I am supposed to meet in order to submit. Someone might want to look at that.   Have a good day.

Great article, we are what we do and not where we are! Employment models need to improve and update not the opposite.

Very helpful, since covid19 pandanic is over, now companies should change the trend of work from home, remote and hybrid setup

Insightful article. In the IT industry definitely Hybrid work arrangements is a win win situation. The same hybrid to be applied in Construction industry, which would be a great move towards flexibility and enhanced productivity.
