The day after the gifts are unwrapped and the celebrations quiet down is the perfect moment to reflect on the deeper meaning of this season: giving and gratitude. For many, the holidays are a time of joy, love, and abundance—but for others, they can be a time of struggle and uncertainty. If you’ve been fortunate enough to experience warmth, connection, and plenty this season, then perhaps today can be the day to share that abundance with someone who needs it. Giving doesn’t have to be extravagant. It could be as simple as donating clothes you no longer wear, volunteering a few hours to support a local cause, contributing to a food bank, or offering kind words and support to someone feeling alone. Every small act of kindness ripples outward, touching lives in ways we can’t always see. The beauty of goodwill is that it multiplies. When we give to others, we inspire hope and build stronger communities. So today, let’s pay it forward, because if we have more than enough, we already have enough to share. Together, let’s make this season not just one of receiving, but of giving and lifting others up. 🌟 #MHOffice #DayOfGoodwill #PayItForward #KindnessMatters #GratitudeInAction #MakeADifference

Shift the Holiday Focus: Choosing Community Over Consumerism The holiday season often comes with pressure to buy, buy, buy. But what if we shifted the focus from things to togetherness? 💬 Here are simple ways to prioritize connection over consumption this year: 🎁 Gift Experiences: Instead of buying items, give the gift of memories like a cooking class, a family movie night, or a nature walk. 🍲 Host a Potluck: Share the warmth by bringing loved ones together for a meal where everyone contributes. It’s less about extravagance and more about togetherness. 🤝🏾 Volunteer Together: Spend time giving back to your community, whether it’s serving at a shelter, donating time to a local cause, or even spreading random acts of kindness. ✨ Practice Gratitude: Start a family tradition of sharing what you’re grateful for this year. It’s a powerful reminder of the blessings money can’t buy. This season, let’s celebrate what truly matters community, love, and meaningful connections. This week, I’m putting words into action. At Hope2Give, we’re inviting you to take on the #GenerosityChallenge – a reminder that giving isn’t just about what we give, but about the connections we create. I’m starting with the $10 #Hope2Give Test. The idea is simple: take $10 and use it to make a difference for someone in need. Whether it’s buying a meal, donating to a cause, or lending a helping hand, it’s about discovering how even a small gesture can have a meaningful impact. Here’s why this matters to me: We often think creating change requires something big, but even the smallest acts of kindness can create ripples that go far beyond what we imagine. This is my chance to see what’s possible with a little intention, and I’d love for you to join me. 💬 Which challenge will you start with? Let me know below.

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, but it’s also an opportunity to give back to those in need. If you want to spread kindness and generosity this holiday season, consider volunteering your time. Local shelters and food banks often need extra hands during the holidays, so spending a few hours serving meals or organizing food drives can make a significant difference for those less fortunate. Another meaningful way to give back is by donating food or essentials. Gather non-perishable food items, toiletries, or warm clothing to donate to your local charity or shelter. Every little bit helps! Additionally, consider supporting local businesses for your Thanksgiving needs. By choosing to shop local, you’ll not only find unique items but also help your community thrive. If you have a workplace or community group, you could also start a giving tree. Organize a giving tree where people can donate gifts for families in need. If you have specific skills, think about sharing them with others. Whether it’s cooking, tutoring, or crafting, offering your skills to those who might benefit can create a lasting impact. Let’s make this Thanksgiving more than just a feast. How will you give back this year? Share your ideas in the comments! 🦃❤️ . . . #verdemarcom #jodygreene #thanksgiving #thankful #thanksgivingday #turkeyday #grateful #thanksgivingdinner #harvestseason #thanksgiving2024 #friendsgiving #holidayseason #familytime #thanksgivingvibes #thanksgivingfeast #thanksgivinglove #givingthanks #thankfulheart #celebratethanksgiving #holidaycheer #thanksgivingcelebration #thanksgivingtraditions #thankfulfor #thanksgivingtable #thankfulthursday #fallharvest

The holiday season is the perfect time to embrace the spirit of giving, and donating toys, clothes, or blankets to a local shelter or charity is a beautiful way to share kindness with those who need it most. As temperatures drop and challenges persist, these thoughtful contributions can provide warmth, comfort, and even a spark of joy to someone navigating difficult times. Each gift is a tangible reminder that they are cared for and valued, even by strangers. Beyond helping others, acts of generosity during the holidays foster a deep sense of gratitude and connection within yourself. In the midst of gift-giving and celebrations, knowing that your actions have brightened someone else’s day serves as a powerful reflection of the season's true meaning. It’s not just about what we give, but the hope and compassion we spread. This simple yet impactful gesture has the power to create lasting ripples, inspiring others to carry forward the spirit of kindness and community well beyond the holidays. #HolidayGiving #SeasonOfKindness #GiveBack #SpreadJoy #ActsOfGenerosity #HolidaySpirit #WarmHearts #ShareTheLove #CommunityCompassion #HolidayCharity

🎄✨ Give a Little, Share a Lot: Reverse Advent Calendar for a Merry Cause! ✨🎄 For the third Christmas in a row I am leading Everton in the Community's Reverse Advent Calendar! Join us in flipping the script on the traditional advent calendar and spread the joy of giving. 🎁 How it works: Instead of receiving a gift every day, we’re asking you and your team/organisation to donate one item each day to help those in need – your small daily contribution can make a BIG difference. We will then deliver it to our participants who need it most. 💙 Why it matters: While many of us are enjoying the festivities, many across our community are struggling to make ends meet. By participating in our Reverse Advent Calendar campaign, you’ll help bring smiles to families this Christmas. 👉 How you can help: - Contact me to get involved! - Start your reverse advent by donating one item per day. - Spread the word! The more people who join, the bigger the impact! Together, we can turn this season into something magical for those who need it most. The world could use a little more kindness these days. 🙏 In our fast-paced, often self-absorbed society, it's easy to get caught up in our own lives and challenges. But taking the time to be kind and lend a helping hand can make such a profound difference. A simple smile, a kind word, or a selfless act - no matter how small - has the power to brighten someone's day and spark a ripple effect of compassion. 🌊 Whether it's volunteering, donating to causes you care about, or just being there as a supportive listener, look for opportunities to be that light for others in need. Life can be incredibly difficult at times, but we're all in this together. Practicing empathy, lending a non-judgmental ear, and offering support where we can lift us all up. 💪 "Let's make Kindness the new normal" Video credits: HumanlikeBro X Account #KindnessMatters #SpreadLove #SelflessActs #HelpingHands #PayItForward #CompassionateLife #TogetherIsBetter #inspiration

This is #GivingSeason, a time that reminds us of the power of generosity and the impact we can have on our communities. Joanie and I have always tried to do our part in giving back. Years ago, we started hosting an annual holiday party, a gathering meant to celebrate the season with signature homemade dishes and great conversations. But as enjoyable as it was, we felt something was missing…it lacked deeper meaning. The following year, we made a change. Instead of just celebrating, we chose to incorporate giving. 🩵 Ever since, we partnered with a local charity, learned about their mission, and shared their stories. Each year, our guests have shown incredible generosity—bringing donations, volunteering their time, or contributing financially. Ironically enough, the most memorable part of this annual celebration for all of our guests, is how much more meaningful the evening becomes when they’re part of something bigger. It’s a powerful reminder that most of us WANT to give back. And sometimes, we just need AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO IT. So, today, I want to encourage everyone to take even a small step toward making the world a better place. Whether it’s big, small, financial, time, or simple kindness—the impact comes from giving with an open heart. How are you making a difference? I’d love to hear your stories of giving back.
