Update: I have begun the submission process with render submissions, online question responses, account setup with NYSERDA. But I still have about 5% of their spreadsheet I can't answer & major revisions to the opening 10 pages of the previous illustrated narrative (~140 pages) we used for Round II. Any Co2 embedded carbon or energy specialists who can volunteer their time would be greatly appreciated. We are reusing our excellent & highly positive EBI Consulting report (SEDI score = perfect 100) from Round II already, but this does not answer the embedded carbon questions.
I am looking to partner with a CRE Developer immediately. This is a partnership for a limited purpose, not a paid opportunity. I need a lead Developer to enter the 5th round of the NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence Competition in mid-September. Our little team already entered the 2nd Round but the lead Developer for that round has since passed away. I will be the second level Developer but can't be the primary since I haven't developed any buildings. The project is special, major, and theoretically, the largest building by floor area in the world, to be located in downtown NYC. To be clear, we cannot obtain the land at this time because Con Edison is retaining it for the foreseeable future. However, being associated with the entry could bring attention and prestige to your company and efforts. Will NYC’s Congestion Pricing Drive Studios Across the River? Starting January, New York City’s new congestion pricing program will charge vehicles $9 (or more) to enter Manhattan below 60th Street during peak hours. For studios, post-production teams, and freelancers who rely on commuting gear and talent into the city, this could add up quickly. With rising costs already impacting operations, could this new tax incentivize more studios to move to New Jersey or other nearby areas? NJ has been attracting more productions lately, thanks to its competitive tax incentives and growing infrastructure. As a sound designer based in NJ, I’m curious to hear your thoughts: • Will this impact your decision to commute or set up shop in NYC? • Could this accelerate the shift to hybrid or fully remote workflows? Let’s discuss—where do you see the industry heading?

🙋🏽♂️ A mini hot/cold take 🔥❄️: We’ve had to pass up on a couple of our job requirements over the past fortnight … My focus when building Loup was on finding opportunities for designers’ that would enable them to find their focus & passion on a daily basis and a company that would support them with this. While I absolutely respect & support Founders on their aggressive growth plans (I can resonate) we also have an obligation to remind Founders/CEO’s that designers can still do phenomenal work and be an incredible asset without “the energy drink fridge” always being their best friend. We are starting to partner with some of the countries best designers and it’s not by chance, it’s because we work with them on roles where their talents and experience are truly valued. 🤝 DRTL Founders: Your employees can really really care about your start up. They will most likely, still care less about it than you. And that is ok. ✅ Here are some of our newer roles with a shiny new image to show them off. 🪩🪩

Hiring Alert!! We are hiring an Architect!! We're taking a big step at Criad - hiring our first in-house Architect / Founding Associate. This could be you or that creative friend you've always admired. Our ideal teammate? You're an architect (or soon-to-be one) with a passion for design and a hunger to learn. If you're from the developing world, even better - that's where our heart is. Recent grads, we see you too! Just show us some of your work, even if it's from school. You'll be working closely with me (Harsh) and Felix (my co-founder) on all sorts of stuff. You'll be our go-to person for understanding architects' needs, leading our social media charge, and even dabbling in some front-end dev work with me. Don't worry if coding sounds alien - we'll figure it out together. Here's the fun part: Instead of a boring CV, we want to see you in action that covers the skills above. Build a mini-portfolio of your work using any no-code tool you like (FlutterFlow, Bubble. io, whatever catches your eye). Then, record a quick video showing off your work and telling us how you approached the design. Pro tip: Use the free versions of these tools - no need to spend a dime. If this sounds like your thing (or your architect friend's), don't hesitate. Jump in and apply here: https://lnkd.in/gD7DgTbU Clock's ticking - we're wrapping up applications on August 15, 2024. The role is open globally! Add me and DM me if you have any questions, will try and come back ASAP. #JobOpportunity #ArchitectJobs #Hiring #ArchitectureCommunity #DevelopingWorld #JoinOurTeam #InnovationInArchitecture #GlobalTalent #ArchitecturalDesign #SocialMediaStrategy #FrontendDevelopment #RealEstateDevelopment #ApplyNow #JobOpening #ArchitecturalCareers https://lnkd.in/ee6ryP4z

🔍 Navigating through Job Applications and Titles in Design 🎨 I’ve been seeing different job titles in the field of design, such as #Design_Lead, #Design_Manager, #Lead_Designer, and #Head_of_Design. It’s important to understand the roles of each title to apply for jobs effectively. Here’s a breakdown of each role: Design Lead 👥: This role involves guiding a team of designers, doing design work, mentoring junior designers, and making sure the design matches project goals. Design Manager 📋: A Design Manager focuses on the operational side of the design team, overseeing workflow, managing resources, setting deadlines, and making sure the team meets its objectives. Lead Designer 🎯: The Lead Designer leads design projects and sets the creative direction. They work closely with other departments to ensure designs match broader company objectives. Head of Design 🚀: This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for the overall vision and direction of the design department. It involves setting long-term design strategies and fostering innovation. Understanding these roles is important for targeting job applications effectively. Each role requires different skills and experiences, so identifying which aligns with our career goals and strengths can help us position ourselves for success. 🎯 Have you encountered confusing titles in your job search? What are your thoughts on the differences between them? 💬 #JobSearch #DesignCareers #UXDesign #ProductDesign #CareerGrowth #DesignLeadership
