This week, Gabriëls - Power opened a new charging station in Kemzeke (Belgium). With space for 12 cars to charge (400 kW), it is the largest and fastest in the province of Flanders. 🔋 🚗 Located near a high-traffic public road, Gabriëls makes a conscious decision not to install its charging stations along motorways, but at strategic locations that benefit not only commuters but also residents and businesses. (Read the full article here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gBaARGY6) Congratulations Gabriels with this acquisition! 🎉 Hopefully, this new location attracts a lot of visitors. Wow! 💡 In Sweden, a permanent electrified road is being built, the first in the world for electric vehicles (EVs) to be charged while traveling. The highway chosen for this pioneering project is the European route E20, which connects the logistics centers between Hallsberg and Örebro. This road is located between the three main cities of the country, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. The project is currently in the procurement phase and is scheduled to be built by 2025. The charging method for E20 has not yet been decided, but there are three types of charging under consideration: a catenary system, a conductor (ground-based) system, and an inductive system. This initiative is part of Sweden's efforts to decarbonize the transport sector and prepare the necessary infrastructure for fossil fuel-free mobility. It's an important step towards sustainable transport, allowing cars and trucks to recharge on the go, which experts say allows them to travel longer distances with smaller batteries and avoid waiting at charging stations.

A new exciting project is kicking off - we deliver in total 3.6m of a tram 🚋 At InnoTrans 2024, we joined forces with HeiterBlick GmbH, a leading manufacturer of trams and light rail vehicles based in Leipzig, to launch a remarkable project. Soon, new trams will be in operation in Würzburg, Leipzig, Görlitz, and Zwickau – featuring around 200 gangway systems from HÜBNER. The gangways for Würzburg’s new trams are particularly fascinating: Each tram will be equipped with four customized solutions, each 90 centimeters long, which are perfectly adapted to the respective sections through details such as air conditioning ducts. That’s a full 10% of the total vehicle length per tram! Our contribution includes the entire system between the car bodies: from folding bellows, turntable to air conditioning ducts, upper and lower joints as well as energy supply systems. We’re happy to have HeiterBlick as a strong partner, working together to bring innovative mobility solutions to the rails. 🚆
