🚨 Breaking Flutter News: Matt Carroll's AMA on Forking Flutter into "Flock" In all these hype, there was a recent AMA with Matt Carroll, the guy who decided to start another version (fork) of Flutter called Flock. Here's the summary of the AMA Session hosted by Viktor Lidholt. 1️⃣ What is the reason for forking Flutter? Matt Carroll believes that the official Flutter project has become too bureaucratic and slow to respond to user needs. He also believes that the project is not focused on the right things, such as performance and stability. He hopes that his fork will be able to address these issues and provide a better experience for Flutter developers. In addition to these reasons, Matt Carroll also mentioned that he is concerned about the lack of transparency and openness in the official Flutter project. He believes that his fork will be more transparent and open to the community. Finally, Matt Carroll believes that his fork will be able to provide a more sustainable and long-term solution for the development of Flutter. 2️⃣ What are the key differences between your fork and the official Flutter project? Matt Carroll's fork will be more focused on performance and stability. He also plans to add new features, such as support for more platforms and better integration with other tools. 3️⃣ What are the potential risks of forking Flutter? One of the risks of forking Flutter is that it could split the community. Matt Carroll believes that this is unlikely, as there is a lot of dissatisfaction with the official Flutter project. He also believes that his fork will be able to provide a better experience for developers. 4️⃣ How do you plan to maintain your fork? Matt Carroll plans to maintain his fork with the help of a team of volunteers. He also hopes to attract funding from the community. 5️⃣ What is your vision for the future of Flutter? Matt Carroll believes that Flutter has the potential to become the dominant cross-platform development framework. He hopes that his fork will help to accelerate the development of Flutter and make it even more successful. 🤔 Let's Discuss: - Are you excited about Flock? - What features / platform would you want to see prioritized? - Would you consider contributing as a volunteer? - Do you think this would improve adaptability of Flutter in enterprise? Watch the full session here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gmayMEp5 🔄 Share this with your Flutter dev friends who need to know about this development! ✅ Let's connect because I'm all into Flutter and am totally biased about it. #flutter #dart #android #ios #kmp #multiplatform #google #mobiledevelopment #mobile #FlutterDev #programming #programmers #developer #FlockFramework #CrossPlatformDev

One sunny day, Flutter, was chilling under a lemon tree. Meanwhile, Tkinter, who was like the friendly kid from the neighborhood school, was walking by. Flutter saw Tkinter coming and said, "Hey Tkinter! What's up? What are you doing here?" Tkinter grinned and said, "Just taking a walk, enjoying the simple things in life." Flutter smiled and asked, "Can you handle complicated stuff like I can, Tkinter? Life's more than just simple things, you know." Tkinter leaned against the tree and replied, "Well, Flutter, maybe simplicity has its own strength. Sometimes, being simple is better." Flutter laughed, understanding Tkinter's point. "You've got a point, Tkinter. Maybe simple is good too." And so, Flutter and Tkinter had a fun chat under the lemon tree, realizing that even though they were different, they could still learn from each other. And that's how they became friends, showing that in the world of coding, it's cool to be different and work together. 🌟 Just launched a project showcasing the synergy between Flutter and Tkinter! 💡 Built with the same concept in mind, this project highlights the interconnectedness of modern development tools. 🚀 Special Thanks ❤️ Shashi Bagal Sir Sachin Patil Sir Akshay Jagtap Sir Core2web #flutter #tkinter #core2web #incubator
