Hackers now use ZIP file concatenation to evade detection 🔐 They are doing this by merging multiple ZIP archives into a single file, hiding malicious payloads in one of them to evade detection. Different archive managers handle concatenated ZIP files inconsistently, which attackers exploit to conceal malware. Malicious concatenated ZIP files are distributed through phishing emails disguised as legitimate attachments like shipping notices. As well as this, traditional antivirus and security tools may fail to detect malicious content within concatenated ZIP files due to parsing limitations. QR codes are being exploited by attackers to bypass web protections and launch phishing or malware campaigns. They’re easy to distribute and can evade traditional security filters, making them a growing concern. How QR Code Attacks Work: 1. Redirecting users to phishing sites to steal credentials. 2. Triggering malicious downloads when scanned. How Organizations Can Protect Themselves: 1. Deploy tools that can detect malicious URLs hidden within QR codes. 2. Continuously train employees to spot phishing attempts. 3. Encourage users to confirm the sender of messages containing QR codes. 4. Always verify the legitimacy of URLs embedded in QR codes, especially if sensitive data is requested. (Source: singularsecurity.com) #CyberSecurity #Quishing #QRcodeRisks #Phishing #MalwareProtection
