The best part of buying or renting any new home is walking through it for the first time. Imagining yourself, your family in that space. A luxury you just don't get when your potential home is still a pile of dirt. But there's a new invention solving that problem for Queenslanders. Right now, a pile of sand, concrete and steel. It's real estate agent Dylan Malloy's job to sell the apartments that will soon occupy this Palm Beach site. And he has a secret weapon, a virtual reality headset. Well, Dylan, let's pretend I can afford one of these apartments. Tell me how you're selling it to me with this. So, Bronte, it's really good. We got a a beautiful VR tour that enables the buyer to see the whole apartment, its entirety, obviously before construction is started. It doesn't look glamorous. But what's built on the inside certainly is. Can you see the apartment now? I'm in the apartment. This is what I can see. Level 5 of Ophira, accurate to the millimetre built by software engineers. I'm able to walk through the entire space, a virtual glimpse into the future. This is the real view you're gonna get from the apartments. Can you see what I'm looking at right now? Exactly. So with this technology on the tablet here, I can see exactly where you are. In fact, Dylan's avatar joins me in my apartment. Sharing my vision and answering my questions, it's a lot easier to be a real estate agent in the future, isn't it? It is it. Look at this. Technology is is such a great tool. It really helps us explain it and bring these projects to life. Everyone's customed to the open home experience. When you're buying a an existing property, everyone's comfortable walking around and checking out the room and imagining your future home. And So what we've been able to do is be able to recreate that experience, but virtually. And so now anyone can actually experience that, anyone with a set of virtual reality. Goggles or a real estate agent who's invested in a pair in lieu of those for buyers or renters. This tech can be accessed using a mobile device or real estate web listing only without the immersive experience. Bronte Gilday 9 News.
