A solo founder who reaches the $1M mark has to deal with the hit-by-a-bus problem sooner or later. For me, that point came in 2020. I reached out to Bireswar Singh, my childhood classmate, friend and mentor, and took his advice to add more co-founders. 🤝 In 2022, I brought on my two closest buddies from my Engineering days and formed a new management team. The idea was to put in a couple of years, get Scribie past the $5M mark, and then exit. However, the old adage that the best way to lose friends is to get into business with them turned out to be true. Things went south, and we split up in August 2023. It was devastating for me personally. 😔 Thankfully, Yukti Yatish, my spouse and biggest supporter, stepped in. She took over as the interim CEO and worked tirelessly. Bireswar has now taken over as the full-time CEO, and he has an exciting new vision and roadmap for Scribie. 🌟 I have seen the transcription industry transform from a fully human process to a majority automated one over the last decade. Gen AI unlocks even more use cases and opportunities for innovation in the industry. Scribie, with its new management team and a new roadmap, is well-positioned to leverage these advancements and deliver cutting-edge solutions. 🚀 I couldn't be more excited about this new chapter of Scribie. I have put in my life's best years in it, and it feels so satisfying to see it grow without me at the helm.
