This week, I had the privilege of attending an insightful workshop led by Dean Geoffrey Garrett as part of the Marshall Leadership Fellows Program. It was a powerful reminder of what it truly means to lead with empathy, inclusivity, and intention. Here are some of the key lessons I took away: - Human Leadership: Be a human, not a hero. Effective leadership is about centering humans and leading with hearts and minds. - Diverse Perspectives: Surround yourself with people who think differently. Building a culture of trust allows everyone to contribute meaningfully. - Consultation for Better Implementation: Create an environment where people feel safe to share their true thoughts—not just what they think you want to hear. This fosters collective intelligence and leads to better outcomes. - Thriving Organizations: When people within an organization thrive, the entire organization thrives. I am deeply grateful to Dean Garett for his invaluable insights and to the Marshall Leadership Fellows Program for creating spaces like these, where aspiring leaders come together to learn and grow. Being in the room with such amazing individuals is truly inspiring!
