What an incredible launch day to be a part of.
I am so proud of everyone here at Flyhomes and thrilled to finally announce the acquisition of ZeroDown and to publicly welcome Laks Srini, our new Chief Technology Officer, and Abhijeet Dwivedi, our new Chief Growth Officer, along with their incredible team!
What the collective teams pulled off between closing the deal with ZeroDown earlier this year and launching Flyhomes AI yesterday is nothing short of astonishing.
Everyone worked so hard to bring Flyhomes AI to market because we’re entering an incredibly pivotal moment for real estate. We are now two months out from the most significant rule change in over 100 years. Starting August 17th, the National Association of Realtors’ settlement of the commission lawsuits mandates that buyers must sign a contract stipulating exactly how long they’ll work with an agent and how they’ll compensate that agent - - and all before touring a single home.
At a time when housing affordability is at an all-time low, our fear is that this new rule will create a paywall between prospective buyers and the critical information they need to make an informed decision on the biggest purchase of their life.
When we founded Flyhomes in 2016 it was to remove friction in real estate and over the years our product innovation has evolved as the friction points have evolved. From being first to market with all-cash offers for consumers at scale in order to level the buyer playing field, to pioneering the Buy Before You Sell category, removing the pain point of our clients moving twice or making their offer contingent on the sale of their current property.
