🎉 Day [1]/21: Animation Task Completed! 🚀 I’m excited to share that I’ve successfully completed my animation scene as part of my first animation reel and 21-Day AWD Challenge! 💻✨ not just perfect but after filling the colour and background it look some meaningful.... Just wrapped up an animation scene, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s a simple piece, but seeing it come to life feels so rewarding. 🖌️✨ Working on this taught me a lot about patience (timing animations is no joke!) and how little details make a big difference. It’s not perfect, but it’s progress—and that’s what matters. Here’s to learning, improving, and celebrating the small wins along the way. 🚀 #Animation #SmallSteps #AWDChallenge #KeepLearning

🎬 3D Animation Tip: The Power of Composition in Storytelling! ⚡️In 3D animation, composition isn’t just about arranging objects—it’s about guiding the viewer’s eye and creating a visual story. A well-composed scene can make all the difference, adding depth and drawing attention to the most important elements. The example below is from my own short cartoon animation, where I used composition to enhance the scene’s depth and visual impact. Small adjustments in framing, balance, and focus bring out more details and direct the viewer’s attention. Animation isn’t just about setting keyframes—it’s about breathing life into motion. To truly animate well, you must sense the objects you’re working with. Whether it’s a bouncing ball, or a walking character, understanding their weight, balance, and physics is essential. A bowling ball doesn’t move like a balloon. The way you convey weight and energy in your animation tells a story before any context. It’s this attention to detail that makes the difference between animation that feels real and animation that feels flat. This animation was one of my very first attempts at 2D animation during my "2D Animation" course. The task was to create a promotional video for our department, Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT). While this piece was my initial foray into animation, you'll see elements of character rigging, walk cycles, and object motion using the wrap tool. It also features a fun narrative with an AI voiceover, encouraging viewers to join MCT and embrace the ever-evolving world of multimedia skills! I can definitely see areas for improvement now... transition timing, rigging finesse, voice over, natural character movement etc. Yet this project was a foundational step in my animation journey. This experience solidified my passion for animation, and I'm excited to keep growing and learning! #2DAnimation #Animation #MotionGraphics #AdobeAnimate #WalkCycle #CharacterRigging #MCT

A lot of the work I have shared lately has been done in 3D, however, I have also done a lot of 2D animation in my career, from explainers, to conference presentations and an awful lot of digital banners. Here is an animation I created during my time at Quadmark, which I have reformatted for social. *Credit to their design team for the designs. Please reach out if you or anyone you know needs help creating an animation like this as I always enjoy working on them and would love to help. #animation #2d #illustation #motiongraphics #aftereffects #animatedPresentation #duik #animatedExplainer #characterAnimation #trainingAndDevelopment #digitalAds
