Support a Child in Need This Christmas Is your business looking for a meaningful way to give back this holiday season? At Village of Hope Charities, we partner with organizations—both local and beyond the Seacoast area—to help fulfill Christmas wishes for children in need. No matter where you're located, your company can make a difference! Whether you’re a small team or a large organization, this is a wonderful opportunity to come together and support a child who might not otherwise have a joyful holiday. Here’s how your team can get involved: -Adopt a child or family and work together to fulfill their wish list. -Purchase gifts from our Amazon or Target wish lists for a simpler way to give back. -Get matched with children based on your team’s preferences—there are options for every business size. Not local? No problem! We offer remote adoption options to ensure every child gets a special Christmas, no matter where your company is based. If you’re interested in making a real impact this season, visit our website, https://lnkd.in/eUizKnYg, or reach out to Jessica Sutton, ALMI, FLMI, ACS for more details. Feelings. This is where Democrats, and for that matter, many charities, miss the mark. We often forget to consider how people feel. People said they felt bad about the economy. It wasn't that we didn't take them seriously—it was that we didn't center our message around their feelings. The same goes for charities. People give because they want to feel good about themselves. They want to feel like they're making a difference, like they're part of something bigger. When we communicate, we have to remember that it's not just about the facts—it's about making people feel hope, pride, and a sense of belonging. Fundraising is simple: make your supporters feel good about helping. But it's not always easy.

When it comes to planned giving, we hear these questions a lot: "Do I have to use cash and name charities in my will or are there other options?" "Does my estate need to be large for a planned gift to make a substantial impact?" "What if I change my mind about organizations that I want to support?" Find the answers to these and two other frequently asked questions -- scroll to the middle of the page -- as we continue Will Week. #PlannedGiving #WillWeek

If you’re one of the millions of people giving to charity this holiday season, your gifts may be tax deductible. To be eligible for a deduction of up to 60% of your adjusted gross income, you must itemize deductions. Also, charities that receive your donations must be tax-exempt. You can check the IRS’s site (https://bit.ly/3ViMOcb ) to confirm an organization’s exempt status and compliance with filing requirements. If you need more time to investigate charities before donating, be sure to complete all gifts by Dec. 31. As we wrap up National Volunteer Week (April 21 – 27), it's important to recognize all the individuals who help charities through their generous donations of time. It's estimated that 60+ million people volunteer more than 4 billion hours annually. While many are motivated to volunteer, we sometimes hit roadblocks or challenges to achieve this objective. Among them is finding the “extra” time to donate. Overcome this and other barriers by considering the following tips when making a volunteer choice: https://bit.ly/3Wo1asO #community #BBB

Although people may get involved and invested, communities often don't see significant improvements in social sustainability. Achieving real progress requires strong leadership with a clear vision, specific goals, and a focus on developing people to meet those goals. Without this, efforts often fall short due to a lack of direction and the necessary development of those involved.
“If you give people skin in the game, as Lisa Nandy says, then they will make decisions and make things happen for themselves in their communities,” We spoke to Louisa Mitchell MBE (AllChild), CEO of AllChild, about the government's commitment to walking alongside charities and volunteer groups Have your say in the consultation: https://lnkd.in/eVFTakqa
